MuseScore Studio managed update note
For managed MuseScore Studio MSI updates, close MuseScore before starting the installer. The current MSI x64 package can return Exit Code 1 when MuseScore is open during the update process, so Intune, ConfigMgr, RMM, or PSADT deployments should include a user prompt or pre-close step for the MuseScore process.
Use the official MuseScore download page as the installer source: https://musescore.org/en/download. After deployment, verify both the Add/Remove Programs version and the launched application version, because a failed in-session update can otherwise look like a generic installer failure.
