NetLogo close-before-update note

For managed NetLogo updates, close the running application before launching the installer. If the app is open during the update, the installer returns Exit Code 1 and the update may fail; use a pre-close/user-deferral or conflicting-process rule, then re-run detection before retrying.

Use the official NetLogo source when validating the package: official NetLogo download/source page.

For managed NetLogo updates, close NetLogo before launching the installer. If NetLogo remains open, the update can return Exit Code 1; close models first and rerun detection after setup completes.

For managed NetLogo updates, close NetLogo before running the MSI. The x64 MSI can return Exit Code 1 when NetLogo is open during update, so include a pre-close/conflicting-process step and verify detection after setup. Official source: NetLogo Windows/download documentation.
