Deployment tip

To silently install Oracle Client 18c Runtime edition on Windows, run setup.exe -silent -nowait -ignoreSysPrereqs -ignorePrereqFailure -waitForCompletion -force "ORACLE_BASE=C:appclient" "ORACLE_HOME=C:appclientproduct18.0.0client32" "oracle.install.IsBuiltInAccount=true" "oracle.install.client.installType=Runtime". First discover all available parameters with setup.exe -silent -help to customize for your environment. This approach ensures unattended deployment while specifying key paths and install type directly on the command line.

For Oracle Client packaging, source installer media from Oracle’s official database software download pages and record the client family, bitness, and version in the managed package. Do not treat a generic Oracle download page as sufficient evidence for a specific client build. Source: official Oracle Client source.
