REAPER silent install and managed update note
For managed REAPER updates, close REAPER before running the Windows installer. The EXE x64 package can return Exit Code 1 when REAPER is still open, so Intune, ConfigMgr, RMM, or PSADT deployments should prompt or pre-close reaper.exe before the upgrade instead of relying on retry-only remediation.
For silent deployment from the official REAPER download page, run the Windows installer with NSIS-style switches such as reaper000_x64-install.exe /S /D=C:\Program Files\REAPER. Keep /D=... as the final argument when setting a custom installation directory; add /NCRC only if your packaging workflow intentionally disables the installer CRC check.
