smartmontools

smartmontools is a set of utility programs (smartctl and smartd) to control and monitor storage systems using the Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology (SMART) built into most modern ATA/SATA, SCSI/SAS and NVMe disks. It provides early warning of disk degradation and failure and supports multiple operating systems including Linux, Windows, macOS, and others.
