Standard Notes desktop Windows source and detection note
For managed Standard Notes desktop packaging, use the vendor download page or the official standardnotes/app GitHub releases as the source of record. The desktop release assets publish separate Windows installers including standard-notes--win-x64.exe, standard-notes--win-ia32.exe, a generic standard-notes-*-win.exe, and SHA256SUMS.
Keep the Windows architecture explicit in package naming, detection rules, and cache paths rather than treating all EXE assets as interchangeable. For validation, check that the Standard Notes desktop app installs and launches; do not use a signed-in vault, synced notes, or extension state as device-level detection because that data belongs to the user profile and account state.
