ThinLinc Client close-before-update note

For managed ThinLinc Client updates, close the client before starting the Windows installer. If ThinLinc Client is running during an EXE x64 update, the installer can return Exit Code 0 while leaving the binaries unchanged, so deployment tools should treat the client as a conflicting process rather than relying only on a success exit code.

Use Cendio’s official source for current installers: ThinLinc downloads.

ThinLinc Client updates can return success while the binaries are not updated if ThinLinc Client is open. Close the client before managed updates and verify the installed build afterward. Source: official ThinLincClient source.
