Twine close-before-update deployment note

For managed Twine updates, close the application before starting the installer. Packaging-reference testing flags this app for close-before-update handling: the update may fail if Twine is open (Exit Code 2). Build the package around the vendor/project installer from the official source, then add a pre-close or user-deferral step before update enforcement.

Official source: Twine project page.

For managed Twine updates, close Twine before launching setup. If Twine remains open, the update can return Exit Code 2; close story/project windows first and verify the installed version afterward.
