Compatibility tip

On 64-bit Windows 7, UsbDk installation can fail unless security update KB3033929 is present. The upstream project notes that its driver is signed with SHA-256, and without that update Windows 7 may reject the signature and refuse to load the driver.

Silent install tip

For silent deployment of UsbDk, extract the MSI package using msiexec /a UsbDk_x64.msi /qb TARGETDIR=%cd%extracted then run UsbDkController.exe -i from the “UsbDk Runtime Library” folder as administrator; this installs the driver without UI, verifies operation via UsbDkController.exe -n, and supports scripting at scale (reboot if prompted).
