WebStorm

WebStorm uses the JetBrains Windows installer silent-install switches. For managed installs, use WebStorm-*.exe /S /CONFIG=silent.config /LOG=C:\Logs\WebStorm.log /D=C:\Program Files\JetBrains\WebStorm, and put deployment choices such as mode=admin, launcher64=0, and updatePATH=0 in silent.config. This keeps the install path, launcher/PATH behavior, and logging explicit for Intune or ConfigMgr packaging.

For managed WebStorm updates, close the IDE before running the EXE update. For the 2025, 2026, and Latest x64 WebStorm packages as open-application failure cases that can return Exit Code 1618, so configure WebStorm as a conflicting process instead of relying on retries while the IDE is still open.

For WebStorm 2025.2-era managed deployments, include a post-install shortcut check instead of assuming the installer created the Start Menu entries. JetBrains tracks a vendor issue for missing Start Menu shortcuts in JetBrains apps starting with 2025.2, so Intune/ConfigMgr packages should verify the expected shortcut or provide a remediation step after install/upgrade. Keep the normal silent-install configuration separate from that shortcut validation.
