winIDEA – Command-line note
winIDEA supports silent, automated launches via command-line switches like /SHOW:HIDE to run hidden, /ID: for instance identification in scripted connections, and /LOG: for logging to a domain (e.g., /LOG:6); combine with /DOWNLOAD to trigger file downloads non-interactively.
For enterprise deployment, use C:winIDEAwinidea.exe sampleWorkspace.xjrf /SHOW:HIDE /ID:deploy01 /LOG:6 in scripts to start a hidden instance, connect via SDK or wic CLI with the ID, and manage options or downloads programmatically.
winIDEA – Command-line note
winIDEA supports silent, automated launches in enterprise deployment scripts using command-line switches like /ID: to assign a unique instance ID for SDK connections, /SHOW:HIDE to suppress the UI, and /LOG: to enable logging for specific domains (e.g., /LOG:6). Example: "C:winIDEAwinidea.exe" sampleWorkspace.xjrf /ID:deploy01 /SHOW:HIDE /LOG:6 starts a hidden instance with logging, controllable remotely via the winIDEA SDK without user interaction.
