WinZip

For managed WinZip deployments, stage Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime before installing or updating the x64 WinZip package. Track WebView2 as a prerequisite/dependency and then validate the WinZip Add/Remove Programs entry after setup; this keeps missing runtime remediation separate from WinZip version detection.

For managed WinZip 28/29/30/Latest deployments, stage Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime x64 and the Microsoft Visual C++ v14 Redistributable x64 before launching the WinZip installer. Track those prerequisites separately so clean-device failures can be remediated without repeatedly rerunning WinZip setup.

For silent WinZip MSI deployments, run the MSI elevated with quiet msiexec syntax, for example msiexec /i winzipxxx.msi /qn. Keep custom MSI properties on the same command line when needed: use INSTALLDIR for a non-default installation path and USER_WZMUL_LOCATION to point clients at a network share containing the WinZip registration file. Make sure the installing account can read the UNC path that contains the registration file.

If you use WinZip's documented wrapper options, pass them through the INSTALLCD property, for example INSTALLCD="/noqp /noc4u /noip /nopredefinedjobs /autoinstall", to suppress bundled prompts/promotions and automate setup. Verify the resulting Add/Remove Programs DisplayVersion after deployment because WinZip major-version packages may have different MSI names.
