A few weeks ago before finals Jackie and I decided to go snowboarding. I learned that no matter how hard I, or my car, tries we were just not meant to drive in the snow. I will never try again. As soon as we made it to a turning point, we turned around and went home, didn't even get out of the car. I tried to smile...I couldn't.

But on the brighter side of things, this was what was waiting in my room when I got home for Christmas break(which was not long enough). I loved the Texas tree! And I even got ornaments to decorate one of my trees like this one for next year!!
However, the bad news about Christmas break was the snow followed me. I'll admit it was pretty fun to be able to play with all my fambam in the snow, but it was still cold! & I didn't have any of my snow clothes. On Christmas morning my dad and I decided to go outside and see the damage from all the snow on Christmas Eve. There was A LOT of snow! We ended up just driving down to the lake and doing donuts, it was fun! My dad got a little too much confidence and ended up getting stuck in a ditch. But, no worries a nice man came and got us out and said his truck was stuck too. Yah, you think?! That truck would not budge until some big ol' yellow tractor/truck/snow plow thing came and just picked it up. It was crazy!

And finally, this is one of the projects I did when I was home. I couldn't think of anything to give Jackie for her birthday until I had t-3 days until I got back to Provo. I have this wonderful flannel blanket that I got from when I graduated HS. I love it and use it all the time. But whenever I'm gone and it's cold, Jackie always steals it and puts it on her bed, so I decided to make her one. Thanks to my mom we were able to put it together extremely fast. I set it up in the living room and had all the Christie boys help me tie it, we pretty much finished it in one day! She said she likes it-and it's been on the top of her bed everyday. Success!!

Soon (hopefully) I will be blogging my 2010 resolutions so maybe I'll have more motivation to keep them!!
