Been asking for an improved masking feature for years. More like InDesign's. Illustrator's masking tool is absolutely horrible. I have to use Adobe's software at work, but have banned it from my home for over 10 years now and haven't looked back.

The entire Adobe suite is programmed by NON-artists who apparently haven't touched their own product in decades. I've been using Photoshop since the late 90s and I can't remember the last time any new feature was added to the product that was practical. The best product they make is Audition. Illustrator is clunky, cumbersome, and out of sync with Photoshop paradigms. Time for someone with some guts to be CTO and fix this utter vomit splatter.
