You are in all speak in love - a creative container offering mindfulness-infused sound and music works, dedicated to bringing to foreground an unmediated experience of being in the listener. It is minded by Una Lee, who otherwise works as an artist in the contemporary sound art and music fields, based in the UK. That’s me, the person who is writing this, by the way.
In this space, you will encounter a string of love notes, voice episodes, guided walks, contemplative soundscapes and spoken songs, usually under a seasonal theme which range from ‘self-love’ to ‘protect Earth’. There will also be personal musings and reflections on my own mindfulness practice as well as my experience as a professional arts practitioner in the current, productivity-driven, capitalist world. This is a space open to everyone to drop by for an exhale; for taking a beat; standing still, or even stepping backward, before proceeding again. Even for myself. Purposely living a slow life and taking as much rest as work is one of the most fundamental and ultimate forms of resistance against our contemporary society. This is my attempt to activate exactly that in every one of us.
In a similar endeavour, all speak in love as a production house aims to operate on a non-competition basis which is usually the default mechanism within the professional art and music domain. And there is so much information and content in our digital era, and arts are not the exception. In light of this, I vow not to overproduce and overpopulate the available space to all artists. I rather intend to create a community around the topics that are dealt with in its practice. Much of the ethos represented in this creative container aligns with a few different mindfulness practices, but notably with the Plum Village tradition, yet without any specifically religious ties.
So, please consider joining me on this particular journey of navigating through human life. Many offerings and musings are available with free subscription, while some contents of a more elaborate nature may be released to paid subscribers only in the future.
