allta is a modern irish fine dining restaurant and sea food bar by chef niall davidson. raised on his granny’s farm in derry on ireland’s north coast, niall left school to train as a butcher before moving to london to pursue a career as a chef.
deeply influenced by his travels yet firmly rooted in hyper-local, seasonal irish ingredients, niall’s cooking is shaped by the personal relationships he has built with his suppliers. his driving ambition is to develop a distinctive style of modern irish cuisine, pushing the boundaries of flavour and technique to create menus that tell a story of time and place, capturing the unique tastes of ireland. allta was awarded the 2025 fine dining restaurant of the year by georgina campbell and is listed in the michelin guide.
