Jaeger's Birthday

I found a new thing to do a the baseball games...keeping score. I really like keeping score at Owen's game. You have to pay attention to every play that happens and write it down in a tiny box. But you know what...it's fun. AND I enjoy baseball so it makes me pay attention all that more. Plus, I know every one's name and how many outs, know who is coming up, know the score at all times. I have one pitcher who likes to know how many strike outs he gets in a game (which is usually six). Actually no one can talk to me while doing it. Except Aimee. She is helpful and will tell me plays. Like, that was a 4-3 play. The kids, well, the kids are on their own and run completely wild. (I am shrugging my shoulders)

We celebrated Jaeger's 10th birthday last week.
Image
That's a scratch and sniff shirt, by the way! So cool!
Image
Lucy. She is one great gal. She decorated Jaeger's cake for him. Writing and all.
She did an awesome job!
Image
On Jaeger's walk home from school he always stops by the tennis courts and looks around for lost balls. This is yesterday's loot. SCORE!
Notice his hair. Different from above huh. I have a funny story about that...
Tuesday morning Owen had to be at the school earlier than usual for safety patrol. When I came back. Jaeger had cut his bangs clear up to his forehead. My jaw dropped. It was 8:10am. School starts at 8:30am. And here my boy is with super short bangs. I said to him "Well we'll have to fix it after school." His response was "Mom, I can't go like this. I'll get laughed at!" So we had a hair cutting session that ended at 8:30am. Yes, Jaeger and Luke were late.
But, hey I can put that down in the crazy morning scenarios.

What we do at Grandma's.

Image
Savanah has befriended the girl across the street, Prestley. My friend Heidi came back today to play. Here is the crew. Notice girl side and boy side.
Image
Owen has taken to roller blading. Those are my old ones. They are 21 yrs old now. He rides around and around the block. Sometimes Grandma lets him take her cell phone, just in case.
Image
See this remote control car. The gutters here at moms are sunk down and go into little tunnels and into the ground. Well, Jaeger decided to drive it right into one. Not thinking that it's hard to drive it back out. So it got stuck. And Mom had to get it out. I begged to just leave it. But we got it. With this tool and that Owen boy laying down in the gutter and the honkin flash light in moms hand. Yeah we might have got a few crazy glances from passing cars. But we got it.
Image
Mom stocked up on coloring books and Lucy has wasted no time.

Hiking the Y

ImageWe did it! We hiked up to the Y. My childhood friend, Heidi Sanders, who lives in Provo. Actually just a few blocks down from the Y. Her kids are on spring break too so it was perfect to do this together.

Image
So along she came with her four kids. These are the kids that did it. Lucy and Savanah were having too much fun at grandma's house to be pulled away.
Owen, Luke, Jaeger, Rebecca, Eliana, Kimball, and Joseph.
Image
 Do you see it?
Image
We started out friends in the 8th grade and look at us now. 20 yrs of friendship.
Image
 I made it.
Image
Owen and the kids chilling on the Y. Eliana pointed out her house to me.
Image
Jaeger on top of the world. He was our leader.
Image
The last 20mins we joined up with a dog named Dottie. She loves kids and if they threw rocks the dog would fetch them. The kids chased her right on up to the Y. Here the kids scooted down on their bums to be by Dottie. You can barley see her at the bottom right.
Image
It was a pretty steep hike. Notice Luke's red cheeks.
Image
Owen is clearly king of the mountain. Crazy boy. I gave him 5 sec to get down or I was going to turn into a crazy momma. Can't turn my back on him for one sec.

Utah Parks

Image
One of things I miss most about Utah are the mountains in the back ground. Love them. There big and beautiful. I find myself just starring at them.
Image
Image
We found a really cool park by Mom and Dad's house. It was loads of fun. You can kind of see it in the background.
Image

Image
Some boys had found a snake nearby.
Image
We melted from the heat. But had so much fun.

Utah

ImageWe made it Ut. This was my first time driving by myself. The kids did awesome. We stopped at a hotel with a pool and swam our wiggles out. Then when we got up the next morning Jaeger had a roaring fever of 101.2. Poor kid was so sick. Then half way to Ut, Luke had a bathroom accident. But other than that it was good. I'm so proud I did it. I feel more road trips in our future.

Image
The are really enjoying Grandpa and Grandma's house. Grandpa Glen is helping Jaeger fix the remote control car. Jaeger was driving the car down the street and drove it into the gutter. And of course couldn't get it out. So we had to get hedge trimmers to pull it out. It took us over an hour to do it. Crazy kid.
Image
 I absolutely love this photo.
Image
They have a swing on their porch. Most nights we sit and talk and enjoy the sunsetting. It is so relaxing.
ImageEaster hunt. We had a little Easter hunt here. The real one will be next week when we get home.

Grandpa Glen, Luke and Grandma Jac

This is how Mom and Dad watched the Easter egg hunt go down. Love all the sunshine Ut is getting. We are all turning into lobsters. I've had to start caking on the sunscreen. Soaking it up and having fun.  Yay for spring break! Yay to parents who let me sleep in. Yay, to fun grandparents.

Time with the Cleverly's

The other day our cousins the Cleverly's were in town. They were able to stop in and hang out with us for a while.

Betty vs. Spider

What is that thing...your asking right?
Image

Image

Image
We have a freaky big stuffed spider. Did I mention Betty looovvvves stuffed toys.
This is the one toy I don't mind her eating.

Savanah's 4th birthday!

Image
Happy Birthday Savanah!
I just can't believe your four years old. Savanah picked out pink Lego's for her birthday gift. This is what Seattle kids do when the sun comes out. Sit in the sun on the floor a play with Lego's. It felt so good. I sat in the sun with them and just enjoyed the sun rays. I've missed you sun.
Back to birthday girl....
Image
snuggling with dog who apparently enjoys sitting in sun too.
Image
This was from our family celebration with her. Her smile is so sincere. Picture below I found on my camera taken by Lucy.
Image
Image
It's march. That means my clovers are blooming. I love the little white delicate flowers.
Image
 Birthday Party Time.
Image
The other side of the table wouldn't give me a nice smile, except for Rex. That boy knows how to get on my good side. We had so much fun with some of Savanah's best friends.

Pinewood derby 2012

Image
You know what happens in January right? Pinewood Derby!!! Here is the line up.
Image
This was Jaeger's first year being the only rep from our family. Owen is too old. (the Owen on the board is another boy)
Image
Check him out! Jaeger is working hard as a Bear and will be a Webelo in a couple of months.
Image
Gotta love it when you get this kind of reaction. His car is doing good this run.
