How You Can Contribute
Alternate History imagines what would happen if history had gone differently. We are a community for creating and discussing a wide range of alternate timelines: large and small, ancient and recent, realistic and fanciful. If you'd like to add to our growing multiverse, the following pages will help you get started.

Before you start writing, read the Conventions of this wiki. Especially, please note:

Cromwell the Great

The greatest man is he who chooses the right with the most invincible resolution; who resists the sorest temptation from within and without; who bears the heaviest burdens cheerfully; who is calmest in storms, and most fearless under menaces and frowns; whose reliance on truth, on virtue and on God is most unfaltering. (Seneca the Younger)

Henry Cromwell

Henry Cromwell. 2nd Lord Protector of the Commonwealth 1658-1696)

History is full of men that make an imprint in its pages. However, few clear the way to a new horizon that can not be fully seen by its fellow companions, but mark a new beginning in the History of this Great Nation. What if the heir of Oliver Cromwell was another man of lesser capacity and command? Would Charles II have returned and claimed again King of England? Would our progress and welfare be forsaken?

Lord Protector Henry Cromwell ruled for 38 years, bringing progress, trade, peace and establishing the Constitutional Framework of the Commonwealth and expanding the dominions, colonies and territories. Henry Cromwell’s memory and legacy has become as important as the one of Queen Elizabeth that is praised as a heroine of the Protestant cause and the ruler of a golden age.
