Thought-Provoking, Strategic, and Eye-Opening
Reviewed in Canada on February 7, 2026The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene is a fascinating and intense read that really makes you think about power, influence, and human behavior. The book breaks down historical examples, stories, and lessons into clear “laws” that show how power has been gained, maintained, and lost throughout history.
What makes this book stand out is how engaging and well researched it is. Greene uses real figures from kings and generals to politicians and strategists to explain each law, which keeps the content interesting rather than feeling like a dry self help book. The writing is bold and direct, and each chapter is easy to read on its own.

It's pretty good
Reviewed in Canada on May 12, 2026For what it is, it's not bad, its interesting of course but a lot of the laws are pretty basic and don't contribute much, the 10% that are good are very useful though.
If you don't have money to spend, don't buy this; it's not a life changer.

Game changer!
Reviewed in Canada on March 5, 2026Love this book. I was always a people pleaser until I was emotionally exhausted. I had the hardest time saying "No" and would always feel overwhelmed with the amount of things I took on. Specifically in my marriage, this gave me the courage to combat and eventually leave a narcissist husband. I took the power back. My favorite chapter is "Always say less than necessary". (Narcissists hate that!)

Good but too dense for nothing
Reviewed in Canada on May 19, 2026You can see the author put in a lot of work in the book. But it could of been an amazing book if it was half its size. I couldnt continue the read. Often times I would ask myself, what is the author talking about? These notes at the right and left pages were annoying as well. Too bad, could of been a masterpiece of a book
