About Me

I am a HCPC Registered Clinical Scientist specialising in Clinical Scientific Computing and Informatics. My work sits at the intersection of healthcare science, medical physics, software engineering and clinical safety.

I currently lead Clinical Scientific Computing & Informatics, focusing on the governance, development and integration of digital systems that support healthcare services. My interests include clinical systems governance, software as a medical device (SaMD), scientific software development, healthcare AI and digital healthcare science.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Computer Science at Teesside University and later an MSc by Research in Computer Science at the University of York, specialising in software engineering and human-computer interaction.

I achieved HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist through Route II in Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering and have gained clinical experience across neurosciences, critical care, respiratory medicine, sleep medicine, clinical engineering, radiotherapy and medical physics.
