Fun with Grandma Svetlana over Christmas Break

ImageGrandma Svetlana came to visit us for Christmas, and we are so glad she did. We had a really great time despite almost everyone having a turn with the stomach bug that was going around.
ImageWe went to our local science museum together. The DaVinci Science Center is small, but a lot of fun. It made sense to buy a season pass and we have been nack 3 more times and explore something new each time.
ImageThey had a blue screen where we could pretend to forecast the weather.

Pip the Mouse

Image
We went to see a free puppet show about a mouse who helps Santa, then they got to meet the person-sized Pip afterward. The show is held in the same church where the Liberty Bell was hidden for a while so the Brits couldn't destroy it. They have a replica Liberty Bell that they rang for us too. We were actually late due to snow and parking so I sent the kids with Nikolay And Svetlana to see the show again the Monday after Christmas, while I was recovering from being sick all night long.

Doesn't Alice look like such a big girl standing up in jeans? I can't believe she will be one soon. What happened to my little baby?

Kids ask the toughest questions

Last night at dinner, while taking a bite out of a drumstick, Annika asked, "When Jesus resurrects all the animals, does he even resurrect the one that we eated?"
