Momma's new wheels

Image
This is our new 2009 Toyota Camry. We decided to depart from our 1998 Honda accord which was a great and dependable car.

Mommy's big day

Image
We had a wonderful day as Mom celebrated her ##(old) B-Day. As usual we had crazy candles that are not too safe around children.
Happy Birthday Honey!!

The kids completed their first year at Spanish Schoolhouse and they learned so much. The songs they sing for us everyday bring us so much joy. Christopher will be in the the 3 year old program. These pics are from their end of school play.Image

Tea Party with Colby

Image
Elizabeth and her friend Colby had a Tea Party. It was the cuties thing. In our neighborhood there are only boys to play with. Elizabeth does all the boy things and sometimes the boys are forced to do girl things. Colby's daddy said that he had to spend time doing something that Elizabeth wanted to do and so Elizabeth decided they would have a tea party. Colby wasn't too thrilled but he got through it. He's lucky she did not decide to play dress up.

Happy #3 Christopher

Happy #3 Birthday Christopher. This year we had a very low key birthday for Christopher. Things have been so busy with work and other things that Mom and Dad just wanted to have something simple for Christopher. I made Christopher a Scooby Do cake and he helped to, just look at his shirt.

As you can see on the cake, there are more than 3 candles. Christopher thought 3 candles just wasn't enough to blow out so we put a few more to make him feel even more important. He got a big kick out of it. He really hasn't gotten the hang of blowing out candles but he really really tries.

Easter Egg Hunt

Image
Image

Elizabeth and Christopher made out like bandits this year for Easter. We had an Easter Egg hunt with our neighbor Austin and the Easter Bunny was very generous. Each kid had to unload their basket at least once with all the eggs they found. It was great to see the kids sharing their eggs and helping each other collect them. They did not fight over which egg was theirs but rather helped each other. They spent the rest of the day eating as much candy as they could stomach because they new, the candy would conveniently disappear.

Family Vacation - Wonderful Steamboat Colorado!

This was our first adventure to Steamboat Colorado. Several of my co-workers kept mentioning Steamboat as a great family vacation resort. We finally took the plunge and decided to go. We are so happy we did. Steamboat had received a ton of snow before we arrived so skiing conditions were awesome. The kids really enjoyed things as well.

Image They Got simple pleasure in playing ring-a-round-the-rosey with some statues at the base of the gondola.

Image After a very full day of skiing, we took the kids on the gondola to the top of the mountain. It's a long ways up but they did not get scared. I must say, kids are a lot more fearless than their wimpy parents. The first time I came up the gondola I was afraid to look down. Elizabeth and Christopher were the complete opposite.

Image
Image Elizabeth went to ski school every day that we skied. She was really starting to get the hang of it toward the end.

Image The amazing views are breath taking. The mountain was challenging yet relaxing. We did 3 full days of skiing and wished we could have done more. We will be back next year, for sure.

My Babies - How Adorable

We spent a week in Steamboat Colorado this Feb. 2008 and this was one of the first times the kids sleep together. They were staying in the same room on a bed that had a trundle. Elizabeth was on the top bed and Christopher on the trundle. I went to check on them and Elizabeth had crawled into bed with Christopher. I thought they looked so precious and had to share with everyone.

Christmas 2007

We spent Christmas in Santa Fe, NM with all our family and friends. It's great because both Anthony's and my family are from the same area so it makes visiting that much more enjoyable. The kids absolutely love visiting NM all our family and friends. Anthony and I sometimes feel like we are losing our minds because we go from one home to the next visiting people, but our kids love it. They don't complain and know that they have to take advantage of the drive time between houses to take a quick cat nap.

Image Santa Fe had plenty of Snow this year. The kids enjoyed throwing snowballs and playing int he snow.

ImageChristmas Eve was spent at Aunt Grace's house. Normally we have a huge crowd of family but this year was a little quiter but we had just as much fun. It was great to capture photos of everyone. We can be a little picture happy during times like these.

Spanish School House Christmas Play

Elizabeth and Christopher participated in the Christmas Play with their school. As you know, they attend a Spanish Immersion preschool. It was so adorable to see all the kids participate in singing and dancing. The teachers all worked so hard to bring this play together. It was wonderful.

Thanksgiving 2007

This Thanksgiving we spent it with our family in Austin, Texas. After the big feast, the family got together and put together a ginger bread house. Not all the candy ended up on the ginger bread house, O'well. The kids had a great time. Christopher is still enjoying the fruits of his labor.

Image Things got a little silly just before Thanksgiving lunch. Auntie Rebekah gave everyone accept Christopher an airplane ride. Christopher was happy to watch everyone. I even got a ride but I will save those pictures for myself.

Disney Prncesses and the superhero

Image

To our surprise all the Disney princesses were at the Spanish schoolhouse. The superhero was quite the happy boy who would save the class. We are awaiting Ariel who was fashionabily late.

Happy Halloween

Image
Christopher needed a quick snack before we went trick- o-treating. Miss Cinderella was modeling her beautiful costume. We had a great time and Christopher was a perfect gentlemen knocking on the door very politely and stepping back as the homeowners opened the door. Elizabeth's favorite candy were rainbow colored skittles and Christopher's favorite was chocolate anything. It was a perfect HalloweenImage.

Hard Work and Preserverence

Image
Image

Look at these faces as their little hands do the hard work. These are the precious moments parents live for and wouldn't it be nice if we could all play like this everyday. Kids are wonderful.

Happy Halloween!!

A tea party

Image
Image

Theres never a set time to have a tea party. Mommy walks in the door from work and Elizabeth says "lets have a tea party" So Dad stirs up some chocolate milk (the new tea) and we are all content. Check out Elizabeth's pinky ( I think she is watching Dad too much). We still need to work on table manners with Mr.C (Mother like son or maybe I should state the truth Daddy like son)
