It has been about a month since I said I was going to "catch up". Silly me, I should have known life would happen & I wouldn't get as much done as I intended. I have started uploading pictures to multiple blogs but just haven't got around to finishing them. So I will just do a quick little update about this week for now.......
Benji is growing up so fast, he is really starting to talk and wanting to be more independent. However, yesterday was the first day he went to my sisters daycare with out Kaden and I think he had a little anxiety. Holly said he cried whenever she was out of his sight. And today he is doing the same with me ....he just doesn't want to be alone.
Kaden started his first day of the first grade on Wednesday. He didn't want for school to end back in May and was rather disappointed that he had to be on summer break. He really likes school and is so eager to learn. I hope that lasts throughout his career as a student.
Hailey started her first day of middle school on Wednesday....6th grade! She was really excited but also nervous about going from classroom to classroom and also afraid of forgetting her locker combo. She got through the first 3 days just fine and I think she will do really well this year. She is also on the cheer & dance team for her school. She will be cheering at 2 football games tomorrow so that should be fun!
Ty is very happy that he didn't have to start school again. He has a scholarship but decided he wanted to take a year off before he started college and I totally support that. On Monday night he told me he was having some pain in his belly, I told him I would get him an appointment with his doctor. On Tuesday he told me the pain was getting worse and it was now hurting to pick something up, bend down or even walk. So Wednesday morning I called the Dr & got him an appointment for that afternoon. The Dr said he thought Ty may have an incarcerated hernia and sent us over to see a surgeon. After feeling around on Ty's belly the surgeon felt that the hernia was small but he may also have an abscess behind his belly button. Instead of rushing him off to surgery he wanted to try antibiotics to see if that helped get rid of the abscess. I took Ty back to the surgeon this morning, Ty's pain is no worse and the hernia is no bigger so he thinks it may take care of itself. Ty is going to stay on the antibiotics and we go back to see the surgeon next week so hopefully no surgery will be needed.
David's birthday was Tuesday....he was very ill, had been since Saturday so we didn't do anything to celebrate will probably do something tomorrow night. I think it was just a bug and he was feeling well enough to work yesterday and today so hopefully he is over whatever it was.
Me....not a whole lot to say. Just busy...with work and the kids and now that school is in session again I am even busier. Lots of driving and running around but I tend to like things crazy and busy. David and I joined the gym back in January & we were doing really good about going until April/May then we started going less and now it is hardly at all just because we always seem to have stuff going on. I do plan to start going again once the kids get into more of a routine. I really need to go, I always feel so good when I leave.
Well that is all for now. I am really trying to be a good blogger and I really want to post everything I have been working on...it's just a matter of time & most of my is already occupied.
