Friday Finish!

Hi friends!
Finished Hubby's quilt.

I bough this panel because it looks like his tractor, the old one he has in the barn.
Got it at Fabric-Crafts in Centre Ala. Great place to buy fabric's , very good prices.

Hubby's Quilt

I think I have a finished top!

I cut four inch's off each side and halved the bottom fabric and added it to the top.

It measures 55 by 63 and a lap quilt is in that neighbor hood.

Now to find a backing!

He has to have some John Deer on his quilt to.

But I think that's enough of that!

But it's getting so big , may have to trim it down some. If I keep adding I will have a queen sized instead of a throw or lap quilt.

Hubby's Quilt

Hi friends!

With going to church every night for revival, their has not been much sewing going on.

This was the first fabric that I bought for his quilt , at least two years ago. Then in Dec. I got the panel from Fabric crafts . Last week when we went back to Fabric Crafts I found this.

It is just like his tractor in the barn.
I got the rest of the  first fabric added to the bottom and top of his quilt.

When I get the next it should be about a lap quilt.

He has a old Farmall in the barn in need of new wiring.

This is the fabric , I added to it yesterday.
Farms, cows and tractors !

Perfect for it!

Hubby A Quilt

Hi friends!
Going to make my hubby a quilt this year before I start my Christmas quilt making.

Using the tractor panel and all this tractor fabric that I have collected in the last year.
I will post more when I figure out how I am going to make it.

Abby's Quilt

Hi friends! 

Abby's backing was finished last week. But Monday I got around to sandwiching it.

See how long it is but that's across . 

Now it's waiting to be starched and ironed.

Hope to have it ready to quilt by this weekend so I can give it to her on Thanksgiving.

Backing Made

Hi friends!

I started making the backing for Abby's quilt Sat.

Finished it off yesterday.

It measures 97 by 117  . The quilt top is a little less. I know it's 112 across. So this should be just right.

Going to put another table up next to the one on the porch and put it together.

It is hugh!

It's looking good!

Had to really put it over to get to the last two rows on.

I think this might be big enough!  112 inch's.

This goes on the sandwiching pile for this weekend.

Over the   weekend I added a few rows!

When I started I measured it and It was 80 inch's across. When I finished it measured 104 so I need another row or two to get it extra wide.

It is puddling in the floor ! Have a good one

Hi friends! 

This is where I stopped last time.

Then much hanging!

Added one row from the tote but it's getting close to empty.

So I started sewing rows then adding.

Added one , made another.

It's getting there!

Added another row before I quit for the day! Takes a little longer when you make the rows then sew them on.

I will have to fold it over to add more rows!

I want it just about sweeping the floor . 

Missy's I went by the charts but she had to put it sideways so this one will be extra wide.

Hi friends! 

I am making progress!

This is the whole amount that I have sewed together but for a king it will have to be much wider.

Now it's just barely hanging over both edges so I still need lots of fall on both sides.

Maybe by the end of the week It will be nearly done. Hope to finished it by her birthday and give it to her on Thanksgiving.

Hi friends!

I hung it over the side of the bed so I would have room to work on it.

Put then next row together.

One sewed on and working up another.

Got it ready to sew on.

Hi friends!

Sat. I worked on Abby's quilt. Putting together rows.

I think I put it on here bottom side upwards. On the bed that is!

Another row. I am adding short ones together then adding them on.

Had to stop!

We got up feeling good but now we feel awful. Don't know if it's because it's cloudy but I  am ackey all over.

We really don't need to get sick.

Was going to take my featherweight to Rome to get it worked on but don't feel like it now.

Nothing I have sews as good as it does.
