this trailer was in the dump.. josh and scott pulled it out and we cleaned all the rat feces out and got it ready for baby chicks.. then claire, larkin and i painted it to make it more welcomed in the neighborhood. the chickens love thier trailer trash life.

it's amazing our capacity as humans..
a brief interaction with another person can cause tidal waves.

so here i am in boulder, utah. and this place just keeps growing on me with each day. the work is fun, like with any job, there are challenges...
i have the amazing opportunity to go out on a horse packing trip with e.c.o. a company here that does hiking trips in the canyons of the escalate! the country here is beautiful.
i went out on a trip in august and now i got offered a gig to be the cook at the baseImage camp, so not only do i get to go out into this country for 6 days, hike around everyday, check out lots of old ruins, but i am getting paid too! so grant, who leads the trips, is an amazing human being, i am so stoked to have meet these people and for the chance to learn some of the history of the area here.
i have been lagging in means of keeping in touch recently.. but again i am leaving it short due to my never ending lack of patience.

bees...

Image
so at the farm today, we dug into the bee boxes, and they pulled out a flat of fresh raw honey comb! it was so exciting all the farmers took a break and we just dipped our fingers into the yummy warm honey. bees are quite amazing! we probably had a few pounds of honey in that one comb and there are dozens more in the boxes.. it's getting warm here in boulder though, i was let in on the secret swimming hole the other day though, that makes me feel a little more like a local around here! and i get thursday off this week so i am going to finaly do some more exploring.. there is so much to see around here with the mountain right here and then so many canyons and desert type landscape to check out as well.
i am also in the market for some fun warm summer afternoon chill out games for the solstice weekend. i figured ashli would have some good ideas... considering, it is boulder and i don't really have any resources to get new prop type stuff. if you are so inspired let me know..
