Since Christmas we had been talking about our exciting Asay family reunion and Disney Cruise!!!! we couldn't wait!!
Boarding day! We were so excited for this day to come!!! We made these t-shirts last minute to get the kids even more excited for the big day! (if that's even possible!)
getting ready to board
the Bon voyage party
Bella was SO excited when she heard she could have an unlimited amount mickey mouse ice-creams! every.single.night.
The next morning...
the girls got ready to meet princesses!
waiting in line with cute little girl cousins was half the fun!
Here are our little Princesses getting ready to meet Disney princesses
Pretty sure I have the cutest nieces ever!!!
Sav loooved being the oldest girl cousin. she adores her little girl cousins.... and little sisters (most of the time;)
these girlies where in heaven!
Lily's fave was Belle
I loved watching these little girls interact with these princesses. sooo sweet!
The above was a regular occurrence in our cabin...Lily loved that cool ocean breeze;)
Tea with Alice with all the moms and daughters was a fun treat!
Lily and I went on a little mommy-daughter date one day... do-si-do dancing and story time with Snow White. The piggy-taled cutie is Lily, I could not get her to turn around for the life of me. she was entranced by Snow White. and how could you not be, she was SO cute and animated as she told her story!
Josh loved sharing a cabin and hanging out with his older cousin!
And Bella loved going back and forth to the different tables visiting all her cousins during dinner time...hopefully that wasn't too annoying to anyone;)
As you can see by Zach's face, he LOOOVES Caleb! They spent quite a bit of time together at the Oceaneer's Lab making flubber and playing computer games.
Down below all the kids gathered around one of the amazing waiters doing one of his many magic tricks.
After dinner dance parties, one of many
We always looked forward to coming to our room after dinner, dance party, and nightly shows to see what our statesroom hostess created for us...along with a little sweet treat before bed
A grandkid favorite....Grammy's lap. So grateful for such a sweet and VERY patient grammy that puts up with my 3 little girlies fighting over who get to sit on her lap or sit next to her at meals.
Grampy and Josh
Our AMAZING waiters who took great care of us every evening at dinner...Mehmet and Kat
more dancing
these girls dancing together were just too cute!!!
Even the parents joined in on some of the dancing fun! Here's Mike and Bella showing off their best moves.
one night while going out to get some ice-cream before bed (only on a cruise can you feel totally fine doing that after having eaten a huge 3 course dinner with one maybe two desserts!) we ran into Minnie Mouse
and then we ran into Mickey...and Josh! we made him jump in this shot, since we rarely saw him on the cruise. He was always off with the big boys! Wish we could have photoshopped Sav and Zach, but they spent a lot of time in the oceaneer's lab.
yay- we made it to the ice-cream...needless to say this was a favorite activity.
Here are some of the cutest cousins on the planet getting ready to "tender" ( I just loved how they used that term to say taking a small boat to get to the port;)
we made it to Grand Cayman!!
the weather was warm and beautiful, the sand was so clean and white, the waters- crystal blue and clear and we were surrounded by all of our Asay family playing and having fun....it was like a little bit of heaven!
and doing some light reading and sun bathing
more adorable cousins...
and destroying
The mamas of the family! I love these women!
Fun uncles are awesome!
The original Asay's Mom, Dad and 7 kids
All because these two fell in love....;) So grateful for these amazing parents that made this all possible. Thank you for providing us with such an amazing and unforgettable reunion!!!
just for the record...Mike's feet, not mine
a little bit of an anxiety attack as Mike took the DSLR into the ocean...good shot though
18 Asay cousins from under 1 yr to 14yrs...
heading back to the "Magic"on the small boat
looking for tropical fish
cousin love!
Pirate night and fireworks, wish I had taken more pictures of this night...but I was a little sea sick this night. Nevertheless FUN!
The next day we docked in Cozumel. We had a fun little outing with Josh and got to spend some good time with him and the uncles. (we were missing this big, independent kid!)
one of the only pics of Mike and I below...love that beautiful blue water and that handsome fella!
We went a little bit off the "touristy" path and went to a mexican market. We happened to go on "market day" which meant they had tons of fresh mexican food samples....since we didn't have enough to eat on the ship;)
A few times Mike and I were able to get away while the kids happily and willingly headed off to the kid's clubs!
Hat making at breakfast, compliments of our waiters...Below- peter pan
minnie mouse
we thought pirate, but were told- Dopey?
Pirate Mike...ahoy captain
last dinner....no cooking or cleaning for 6 full days....ahhhh heaven!
Sav is all smiles because she got to sit by grammy
and Bells too.
Sav wanted me to take a pic of her mexican bracelet
and the only other pic of Mike and I together...I'll take it! I was feeling a little sea sick again this night...as evidenced by my weird face:(
Minnie mouse ketchup.the little details.
I felt so sad when I looked at our menu that last night knowing it would be a while before we get to see these wonderful family members again:( It went by really fast!
I was SO happy when we bumped into these guys as we debarked the ship...for some reason it made me teary seeing them all together as they were getting ready to load the car and head to the airport. We miss you guys already!!!
The day after the cruise felt like the days AFTER Christmas...you know that huge let down after all of the excitement! sigh...We had to make mickey pancakes to try to keep from having disney cruise withdrawals...a few weeks later and we have been talking about the disney cruise ever since. Every once in a while Bella will ask when the next cruise is, blurt out-"I love my cousins" or thank Heavenly Father in our prayers for the cruise. or Lily will say- "let's go back to the "kwooz", or jokingly after dinner Zach will ask if he can run off to the oceaneer's lab and Josh will ask as he's marching off to bed..."can I go get an ice-cream real quick"...yeah- it was MAGICAL. What we miss most though....
THIS. Till we meet again..
