Allison turned 5 on Friday the 6th. I can't believe I will have two school girls in August! She wanted to be 5 so bad so she could go to school and so she didn't have to take naps anymore! She loves Rapunzel in the movie "Tangled". She told me last week, "Mom, I'm sooo in to Tangled right now." Allison is my tender sweetheart that loves everyone and everything. She especially loves her buddy Nicole Hipps who got to come celebrate with us. She is definitely my princess, girly girl, she loves to dress up and dance and sing and play barbies. We love you Alli Gator!

Opening Day LL 20011

April 30th was opening day for yet another little league season :) Started out a nice day but I ended up making a jacket run so we all wouldn't freeze. This year they combined Snowflake/Taylor little leagues, that is a lot of kids! We had a good day though and Corynn's team won, because they have 3 boys that jack homers every time they're up to bat (they also happen to be the biggest kids on the team). So funny to watch her and one other girl on the team.

Easter 2011

This year we decided to try a public egg hunt Friday on the golf course which turned out to be a massive race, you looked out on the fairway and saw hundreds of eggs but as soon as the horn blew it was like watching locusts devour a crop in seconds! Alli was the only successful locust in our fam. Our Judd grandparents came up the Thursday before so it was fun to have them here especially since we invited our friends the Kai's who we knew from Tucson but recently moved to Show Low, because I have never cooked an Easter feast so it was nice to have my mom here to help. We had dinner Saturday night and dyed our eggs(I put it off as long as possible!). Our Easter dinner turned out great and we had a good time visiting and watching the kids hunt eggs and this time it was really a hunt because Hyrum and Kahau hid them well.
P.S. Aunt Ronda, this post is for you!

Let the vinegar mixed with boiled egg stench and all the stains begin! Aunt LouAnn had a good laugh watching Audra's dyeing techniques.

We called her "Hulk Hands" for a while. You know how long it lasts!

Audra Turned 3!

Audra came along 3 years ago and we had to throw out our standard issue "Parenting Guide Book/Game Plan". Nothing wrong with that really, its just that our other two children fit rather nicely in the previously mentioned book. Audra is our free spirit and we love her dearly. Here are some pics of her Birthday celebration on April 1st. As for the pig cake...she watched Charlotte's Web for about 7 days straight before I asked her what kind of cake she wanted, naturally she chose a pig cake and wouldn't budge. Thanks to cousin Brei coming up for the festivities, and making sure I carried out my 3 year old's wishes, she got her pig cake.

So after I finish my pink piglet, she said, "Mom piggies are LELLOW!" Whatever! Poor Wilbur.
Image
So we could have got away with just the $1 chapstick, she wouldn't put it down the rest of the night, and she wears it faithfully morning, noon, and night. Sleeps with it too, clutched in her sweaty little hand. All of our family's lips have benefited from her orange flavored kisses.
Image
Audra goes on golf dates with her dad and will be much better at it with clubs just her size!

"What the heck is in this bag?"

Her pasted on "my first bike is really hard to figure out" smile. Okay so its not really a smile, its a put your camera down and help me mom look.

Spring Break 2011

Hyrum had to be in Boston for part of our spring break so the girls and I dropped him by the airport and headed for S.D. to visit family. The girls had so much fun. The first day my mom and I took them to the zoo in the morning and the children's museum that afternoon. The next day we met Aunt Alisa and her kiddies at the school so they could play on the playgrounds, and I saw my friend Lynette there helping some high school kids with tennis, it was good to see her. The third day, Aunt Shea watched the girls so I could run in to Tucson and do a little shopping and pick Hyrum up from the airport late that night. Saturday Grandma Cottrell took the girls to the Cove in Sierra Vista where they were celebrating cousin Davin's B-day, while Hyrum and I watched the Wildcats play:) The girls didn't want to leave Sunday but we convinced them that they would miss us if we left them behind and we would really miss them. We had a really good time and can't wait for school to be out for the summer!

I remember being fascinated with that big wheel too when I was little.

They were worn out as you can tell by Audi and her unruly hair.

Corynn's Baptism

You will notice Corynn's huge smile in every picture! I caught her standing in front of the clock in the kitchen watching the time tick by until she could get baptized! At one point she jumped up and down because the hour had passed and she let me know that she only had two hours left. I made her go play with her cousins so time would go faster for her. At last it was time and we headed over to the stake center with a very happy 8 year old.

We had a wonderful weekend with family and friends. Thank you everyone who traveled all the way up here to share in Corynn's special day and for all the special gifts you gave to help her remember her baptism!

Today after school Corynn had a friend party. She saw a "Rock Star" themed party idea online and thought that it would be fun so that is what we did. They had a lot of fun decorating their guitars and later playing them while rocking and dancing to her new Kidz Bop CD she got the night before. I wanted to record them dancing and singing but I haven't found my video camera since we moved 6 months ago...its gotta be around here somewhere! Two of her friends couldn't come because they are sick this week, we were sick last week, hmmmm wonder where they got it;)
