"Underwater Quest" is the second entry in the "PSX Breaks" series, an ongoing group of records that I'm working on. The series is inspired by the sound of 90s/Y2K atmospheric drum and bass, ambient jungle, early liquid dnb, Playstation 1-2 music, and fictional video game soundtracks. I like to imagine this album as the OST of a 3D, low poly, third-person PS1 game in which you have been assigned to a repair mission at the bottom of the ocean. In this game you would have to pilot your mecha through a sequence of underwater levels, submerged scenarios and aquatic phenomena. Inside the mecha, you would swim, dive, explore and be captured by the natural wonders of the deep sea, as well as by its dangers and perils. Living beings and their habitats will be your friends there, but a leak in a secret pipeline has produced some kind of toxic pollution in the near-by area, altering the structure of the environment and genetically modifing some aggressive predators of the depths. Following some unrestrained subaqueous explosions, it may also happen to bump into electrocuted maintenance and defense submarine robots, originally designed by the government itself to protect their classified operation, that are going crazy and decided that you are an enemy and an intruder. _______________________________________________________ The production of the album is mainly centered around textures, one-shots and breaks coming from 90s sample CDs, together with selected samples, chops, melodic flips and aethereal manipulations of PSX soundtracks. Best enjoyed swimming, diving or near some clean natural body of water in general, but also just having a bath or taking a shower. I want you all to know, as always, that I'm really grateful for your support, and that I'm working hard to become good enough for all of this, I really hope you like this record, Much Love <3 MICROMECHA

Winter Arc III

Winter Arc III

MICROMECHA

I'm very happy to finally share with you the third and last entry in the "Winter Arc" series, a trilogy of tapes dedicated to the sound of ambient jungle and atmospheric/liquid drum and bass music. This album is inspired, like the others of the series, by the season of winter. In this third chapter, I focused on the mixed feelings that this period of the year brings with it. Its combination of climate harshness and weather difficulties together with forced slowness and compelled reflectiveness can lead all living beings to a state of either intense coziness or cold paralysis (and often to the both of them). Best enjoyed with headphones or from a nice stereo system during cold times, or just when the mind needs some fresh air for fresh thoughts and ideas. Tailored for those times when only meditating along with ethereal music can give some sort of solace. As always, I sincerely thank you all from the bottom of my heart and soul for the support you show me and for the strenght and positiveness that all your love brings to me, and which I hope I can give back to you, at least a little. Much Love, for real <3 MICROMECHA P.S. I really hope you enjoyed my efforts in this musical direction, I wished to complete this trilogy of tapes in a shorter time but I also fell victim of some tribulations, obstacles and overthinking that this recent time brought to my life. The will is always strong and the spirit remains up anyway, as I hope yours are too, so stay tuned if you are interested because various new music and collaborations are coming very soon, as well as some exciting novelties for the fans of this project!

___________________ Ready Your Blade.. Certified vibe connoisseurs MICROMECHA & Space Invapors come together to provide a soundtrack of silky smooth Barber Beats that creates a sonically gentle back-and-forth between two masters of their craft. MICROMECHA, a rising star in the Barber Beats scene that has been on a streak of killer releases as of late, takes a more traditional approach to this project with their tracks having a noticeably long runtime comparatively and being constructed from perfectly picked and appropriately treated samples. Space Invapors, a Vapor Scape Records favorite known as the resident Vaporwave specialist, provides a soft yet noticeable contrast to MICROMECHA's tracks with shorter, sample-free compositions that still manage to sound at home amongst the lengthier, luscious tracks of their collaborator. 'V I O L E T ~ B L A D E' provides close to an entire hour of reverberated relaxation packaged in a brutal aesthetic, tailor-made for enjoyers of a more spacious and downtempo sound. With tracks that evoke a sense of melancholic resolve, the project manages to push through the vibes and still deliver a somewhat cohesive concept of maintaining a strong-willed and stoic stance in the face of adversity. released October 18, 2024 Space Invapors BC: spaceinvapors.bandcamp.com Spotify: open.spotify.com/artist/3TkTvY9reNZAu2c6VEJ8ta?si=TTcUexgnT6yiL9PLptCwqw Cover art by s4dunicorn www.instagram.com/s4dunicorn.dll/ s4dunicorn.bandcamp.com A Vapor Scape Records release BC: vaporscaperecords.bandcamp.com IG : www.instagram.com/vaporscaperecords/ X : twitter.com/scapevapor Patreon : patreon.com/VaporScapeRecords VSR147 ___________________ Sampled Artists: - Q Project - Phyzix - Solid State - G-Force - Rogue Unit - Andrew Gordon
