Well, I went to the doctor today. I am almost dilated to a 3, but after she checked me I got the news that she could not get me in on Friday to be induced. The earliest she could schedule for is Tuesday, March 31st. I have to admit I was quite bummed. I just tell myself that it is all in God's timing anyway and He will bring Colt into the world when the time is right.
I have had severe swelling in my right leg and spent all Saturday afternoon in the ER waiting to see if I had a blood clot. PTL there was no clot, but I was told to stay off of my feet. Today, I was told to start walking to get things progressing. So, I have a problem. Do I walk and have my leg hurt and swell beyond recognition again or do I walk and help Colt progress? HMMM. I think I am just going to do the shopping I need to do, but I will not go on 3 mile power walking trips like I am so tempted to do. I feel like I am getting pretty close anyway and I have work on my patience. Just continue to keep us in your prayers. I have a my mom here, my mother-in-law, and my dad is coming in on Friday. Everyone is eagerly awaiting his arrival and you know me I don't like to disappoint anyone. Then again there are things I just can't control and this is one of them.
On another note, Baylie had her party on Saturday and it went really well. My friend, Carol was the official photographer for the party since I could not move around with my big foot. She is going to upload them all and send them to me. Once I get them I will share all the cute pictures she got. I hope you all have a great week and we'll keep you posted!

Delivery Update!
I went to the doctor yesterday and everything is going really well. I am dialated to a 2, which is very good for me at this point. Since I am progressing and Colt is measuring bigger my doctor said she is going to schedule and induction for next Friday March 27th! Although, there is a chance that I might go before then!! So, I am going to have a baby in 9 days!!! WOOO HOOO!! Baylie's party is this Saturday so, as long as I make it past then I am happy!
A funny story to leave you with. Nathan had to work late on Monday night. I did not feel like cooking, so I loaded the kids up and we went to Santa Fe Flats for my Mexican fix. As we were wrapping up eating, Jake, was standing next to me in the booth and grabbed his drink. Well, the lid popped off and spilled all over my lap. I jumped up with a big gasp. What I did not realize is that the drink completely missed the table and landed on me in a spill pattern that made it look like my water broke. I wondered why the manager rushed over and asked if I was okay and if I needed some help. I looked at him and said no I'm fine I just need a couple of napkins to wipe off the seat. He gave me this look and said, are you sure? I said yes, it's just a spill it happens all the time at our house. His face then changed to one of relief and as I looked down at myself I realized what he thought! I reassured him it wasn't time and the mess to be cleaned up was tea not my water!

Change is a Comin!!
Well, I am 3 weeks from my due date and hopefully, just two away from my delivery date! You are all invited to join in prayer with me if you feel led. The dates I prefer to deliver are the 26th or 27th, so just ask God on my behalf to grant this desire!! :) As time is getting closer to when Colt will be born the family is sensing something new is on the horizon especially, Jake. It reminds me of Mary Poppins when the wind changes some of the people and the dog know that change is coming. This past week, I started really working hard on the nursery getting it all together and each time I set foot in the room, Jake had a melt down! Poor guy, he is such a mommy's boy and he knows that soon he will not be the only boy in Mommy's life. He still does not share me with Baylie. Each time she comes and gives me a hug or sits in my lap Jake goes into a full out fit and starts pushing Baylie off of me. I have been trying to make him understand that I am not just his mommy, but he has caught onto the game. When I ask him where Jake's mommy is he points to me and says right there; and then I ask him where Baylie's mommy is he says "she's upstairs!" It is so funny, but sad at the same time. He is going to be in for a rude awakening, just pray that the adjustment won't be too hard on him and me!!!

Baylie and Jake have really banded together lately. I think they know that with Colt coming they have to rely on each other to entertain themselves. They have been wonderful! The weather has been really nice here the past couple of weeks so we have been outside a lot! It has been so much fun watching them play together on the swing set and hit the baseball to each other. Yesterday they both sat in the playroom and Baylie "read" to Jake for over 30 minutes! Jake just kept getting book after book. Then at lunch they shard the same chair and watched Annie. They both joined in with singing the songs the rest of the day!
It is also neat to see how they respond to my ever growing tummy! Baylie is all over it! She rubs it, kisses it, talks to Colt, hugs it, and lays her head on my tummy. Jake loves to say hi to Colt. He keeps poking my tummy and says baby Colt is in there. He also likes to tell everyone that Colt is going to pop out of my tummy. This morning he came into my bed with me and laid down. He looked up at me and said "Mommy, you're getting bigger." I asked him if he meant my tummy he said "yes, your tummy is this big!" He held his arms out as far as he could and then said "baby Colt needs to pop out!"
Although, there is going to be a lot of change in our house, it is going to be for the better. It is amazing how much God has blessed us with each one of our children. We are all excited to meet Colt and see what God has in store for his life as well.
Here are a few pictures from the past couple of weeks. I am hoping to take pictures of the nursery soon. I still need a few last minute touches, but we'll see if I get to it!
The kids enjoying their noodles at Pei Wei! It was so funny watching them use their chop sticks. Jake moved onto his hands fast once he realized he could only get one noodle at a time with the chopsticks! Baylie had her own method and it was very effective!
Here are a pictures from my two showers I have had. The first, is one that my fellow teachers and friends from Mother's Day Out threw me at Olive Garden. I am mortified that after looking at the pictures I realized that I forgot to put on makeup! That is a sin I know. What is worse is that I am posting it! Oh well, this is me!
Gretchen, me, and Wendy
My good friends, Gretchen and Wendy, from my Sunday school class threw me a shower at Gret's house. It was awesome! Wendy made me her jalapeno ranch dip, which I could drink! Gretchen is due in June with a boy! I am truly blessed to have such great friends! Look! I remembered to put my makeup on!
