If you had asked me a couple of weeks ago how this pregnancy was going I would have said surprisingly fast. Just getting big and enduring the regular aches and pains but nothing out of the ordinary. I mean I even passed my glucose screening this time around!!!
I guess the Lord seemed to think I needed a little excitement in my life. Last Tuesday afternoon I took the boys out for a walk. When I came home I discovered something pretty alarming. I will save you any gory details, but the doctor has termed it hour glassing membranes or prolapsing membranes. Basically my amniotic sac slipping out. Super weird and gross and super scary!
I panicked and it took me a minute decide whatto do. I called 911. So within minutes the police and ambulance show up and I am wheeled away sirens blaring.
Never been in an ambulance or a helicopter. Two things I got to do that day. The EMTs were worried I was going to go into labor so they took me to mountain view hospital in Payson. After being checked out there, they life flighted me to Timpanogas hospital in Orem. Mountainview doesnt have a NICU.
Over the next couple of days we met with baby specialists who talked to us about delivering preemies. I was 31 1/2 weeks along. The odds are very positive and most of our fears were calmed. But by Friday things were normalized, everything was back to where it should be, and the doctor ok'd me to go home on strict bedrest. He has no idea why it happened or if it will happen again. He does know that he doesn't want to see this baby for at least 4 more weeks. Hence the bedrest.
So here I lie. My mom has been wonderful to just come up in a moment's notice. I have been so blessed to have family around to help and great support from our church.
I think this little bump in the road is becoming a great lesson on humility. I hate asking for help. My husband would wholeheartedly admit to everyone that I would much rather stress myself out to the max than bother anyone else. Now I depend on others for everything except, thank goodness, to shower and go to the bathroom. but I just have to keep reminding myself this is way better than having this little baby too early and being in the hospital.

back in april
Since it will take me forever to properly update on everything that's been going down since April.... here are some snapshots.
mom came up for mine and Ezra's birthdays.
went to the tulip festival while she was here. A little cold and windy but it was still fun to ride around on our little golf cart.

Ezra turns one!!! He wasn't too sure about the cake. He mostly liked to dig into it than eat it.
This is his 'angry' face. He clenches his jaw and fists. It's pretty cute.
We got Ezra this cute little radio flyer toy for his b-day, but it's mostly turned into Warren's 'fire-truck' toy.
Barry's grandpa passed away at the end of April, so we made a trip up to Idaho for the funeral. Grandpa Shelton is who Warren was named after.
All the grand kids practicing for their song.
Warren's first shooting lessons.
I think warren is a little too big for this swing and Ezra maybe a little too small.
One day we went and got the car washed, vacuumed, and cleaned the interior. Warren loved helping out. A boy after my own heart.
The Springville splash park just opened this summer, and it's pretty amazing. The kids have love it. Ezra loves walking around playing with fountains.
Warren with some of our neighborhood friends.
Warren's older cousins dressed him up
Working on some projects at home-depot
Of course there has been dirt-biking.
Springville has Art City Days, and they had a day just for kids with big blow-up toys, a little train, food, and a magician. He wanted his hair spray painted. lovely right?
Playing with cousins
oh and did I mention we moved again?!?! We decided to set down roots in Utah, and we bought a house in Spanish Fork. More pics to come

Warren turns 3!
Looks like 2 but it's 3
It's so funny all week he would say, "Mom I'm so excited for my birthday!" Then on Saturday, his actual birthday, we took him to Krispy Kreme for donuts. On the car ride there we said, "Warren, Happy Birthday!" In which he replied, "It's not birthday yet...it's on Saturday."

My brother and his family were able to come down that weekend too....Warren LOVED having his cousins here. We went to the local Springville Easter Egg hunt together. I wasn't sure what to expect, since this was our first year here: It was just candy thrown on the ground, but the kids were definitely not complaining about their huge hauls they brought home.
Okay Lily looks SUPER cute, but Warren is just not cooperating at all!

and oh brother....this one is especially great!
We found a deal several weeks back for Thomas trains online. He actually picked out the ones he wanted and did surprisingly well about waiting for his birthday to have them. He also got this amazing garbage truck we bought for him around Christmas-time but had terrible problems with shipping. It didn't get here until after the first of the year, so we decided to wait and give it to him for his birthday. For quite awhile now whenever we hear the backup beeps of the garbage truck he runs to the window to watch the garbage man come dump out the trash.
Later that day we went swimming at the clubhouse...sorry no pics. Then in the evening we had a big Christensen party. It was fun to celebrate with his cousin Mason who has the same birthday!

Easter morning we woke up to filled baskets and hidden eggs all over the house.
Our attempt at getting both boys to sit still outside for pictures was a big flop...
Although after church we managed to grab a few inside shots
I think birthday #3 was a huge success! I just hope he doesn't expect loads of candy every birthday now.
We love you Warren!!!
