  Why it matters?

  More than a business program.

This is where confidence, creativity, and purpose begin. Kids don’t just learn “how to start a business.” They learn how to think like entrepreneurs; spotting problems, testing ideas, building something meaningful, and learning how their choices can create real impact in the world.

What will they learn?

Over 13 weeks, students will learn how to:

✅ Spot real-world problems worth solving
✅ Research the market and test ideas
✅ Build a product or service
✅ Create a brand name, logo, and tagline
✅ Understand marketing, social media, and promotion
✅ Build a landing page using AI

✅ Learn pitching + sales skills (with real practice!)
✅ Budgeting, pricing and understanding profit
✅ Donate a portion of profits to help other kids access education
✅ Learn how to use AI tools.

The Giveback

Business with heart.

Every student builds a business with a mission.

A key part of the Brighter Future Bunch is learning that entrepreneurship isn’t just about making money, it’s about making change.

Students will donate part of their profits to support other children in need of education opportunities so their success helps create a brighter future for someone else too.

 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How old does my child need to be?
This program is designed for children aged 10 to 16 (can be younger) who are ready to learn independently and participate in group discussions. If you’re unsure if your child is the right fit, reach out, we’ll help you decide.

Does my child need a business idea before joining?
Nope! That’s part of the magic. We guide students through finding a problem they care about and turning it into a business idea step-by-step.

What kind of businesses can kids create?
Students can build a product, service, or small online business. Some create handmade products, digital downloads, simple services, or community-based ideas. The focus is on learning the process, not perfection.

Is this program live or self-paced?
It’s both. Each week includes:
   • a pre-recorded module (15-30 minutes)
   • a live mentor session (45-60minutes)

This keeps kids supported while still giving them flexibility.

How much time does the program take each week?
Most students spend around 2–3 hours per week between the module, live session, and working on their business.

Do parents need to be involved?
Not heavily. Many kids can complete the program independently, but younger students may need occasional help with things like setting up systems, uploading work, or brainstorming.

What if my child is shy or nervous about pitching?
Totally normal and actually one of the best reasons to join. We teach pitching in a supportive way and give students practice in small steps, so confidence builds naturally.

Will my child actually launch a real business?
Yes, by the end of the 13 weeks, students will have:
   • a clear business idea
   • a brand identity
   • a basic marketing plan
   • a landing page or social presence
   • pitch experience
   • a plan for donations

Some kids launch during the program, and others launch shortly after.

Who are the mentors?
Mentors include the Basic Bananas team, other successful entrepreneurs, and guest collaborators.

What is the giveback element?
Students donate a portion of their profits to help other children access education opportunities. They’ll learn how to build giving into their business model.

Is this program suitable for kids with no marketing experience?
Yes. Everything is taught from the beginning, in a kid-friendly way with tools like Canva and age-appropriate AI support included.

What do students need to participate?
   • A computer or tablet
   • Internet access
   • A willingness to try new things

What happens at Pitch & Celebration Day?
Pitch Day is a live showcase where students present their business to mentors, families, and judges. It’s a celebration of effort, creativity, and impact, not a high-pressure competition.

What if we miss a live session?
No stress. While live sessions are strongly encouraged, students can catch up with the weekly module and continue building at their own pace.
