Two-and-a-half years later....

Alright here it is.. this is my commitment to start blogging again. So much has happened since July 2009 in the Batter world - so I promise a combination of new blogs and back-blogs to catch everyone up on our exciting adventures over the past couple of years, as well as our new happenings. I'm excited to be back to sharing my favorite bits about Batter with all of you!

Batter Bakery Kiosk coming soon!

Quite possibly the most exciting news EVER - Batter Bakery will finally have a retail spot! We will be opening an adorable kiosk at 555 California Street in the Financial District. Located at the corner of California & Kearny Streets. Keep an eye out for the grand opening in late August. Hooray!

Summer.

Summertime is here (again!)... how did the first half of this year fly by so fast?

Today is officially the first day of summer. It is a tradition in my family to eat ice cream on the first day of summer - a tradition to which I have no objection! Today I enjoyed my first-day-of-summer ice cream with a ridiculously delicious white peach and raspberry crumble. These peaches were possibly some of the best I've ever had. No sugar at all needed to help the flavor!



The kitchen is busy creating lots of delicious summer baked goods, full of summer fruit. Look for blueberry or lemon blackberry muffins, peach pecan bread, lemon bars, and raspberry chocolate chip coffeecake. Visit Stable Cafe and you can enjoy a Batter treat along with delicious iced coffee or agua fresca... sitting outside in the warm Mission sun! Stable just added more outdoor seating for enjoying the beautiful weather.

Now if San Francisco would just warm up enough to go to the beach....

Brithday Balloons

Happy Birthday... time for more cookies! Whether you are turning one or twenty seven, personalized shortbread are the perfect way to celebrate.

Last weekend we had an order for one-year-old birthday cookie favors. Hopefully Reid's parents snapped a picture of him eating his first personalized cookie!




Today I delivered suprise birthday treats to a good friend... plotted by his parents in Washington. Chris walked back to his construction-site headquarters to find a big box of cookies waiting for him & his crew. Sugar makes for a happy birthday!

The Mission District Sugar Trail tips off readers on a few sweet spots in the neighbohood. Of course, we think EVERYONE should make sure to stop by Stable for Batter treats... including the Lavender Sea Salt Shortbread and Cherry Bran Muffins that received a shout out!
