Labor Day etc
Labor Day in Bear Lake!
We had a nice getaway. Forgetting our worries and just having a good time as a family! Got out on the boat; Rob and Christi showed some moves on the wake board and surf board!
Keira likes to repeat what Wesley says and it drives him crazy! Keira is starting to use the potty and she's doing pretty well at it, actually! She's also really enjoying singing! It's pretty adorable!
Wesley likes to stay up past his bedtime. Sometimes I'll go check on him an hour later and he's still awake! Of course, he doesn't like getting up in the mornings though. He's a good helper and especially likes when you have something new for him to help with! He's good at setting the table for dinner or helping mix up some cookies!
I'm glad I made a point of writing this down, cuz it helps me appreciate these little things that I sometimes overlook in the day-to-day madness!

Fun Weekend!
We had an exceptionally nice weekend! And I felt it was worthy of it's own post.
Friday: we got a lot of errands done and then went up the mountain to Silver Lake on a 1 mile "hike" around it. I put it in quotes, because it's completely flat and has a very groomed path around the entire thing. This was my kids first official hike and Wesley did great! Keira loved it, but she kept wanting to explore rather than keep walking. =)
Saturday: went boating. Wesley went wakeboarding for the first time! He did so great! He was so brave! I actually made it across both sides of the wake twice and didn't even crash! So proud of myself!
Sunday: got to hear our new Pastor, Olga, speak for the first time. She did good and the kids liked her children's time.
In our spare time we watched the Olympics! Wesley wants to go to the Olympics and do the diving! He's been practicing flips in the living room!

2 for Keira!
My little baby is now 2 years old! She had a great day! She loves birthdays and loves the birthday song! She's starting to actually sing songs, rather than just making Mommy sing them to her. Row Row is still her favorite, but she also really likes Happy Birthday and Twinkle, Twinkle. She's getting a little stubborn about having things her way. But she's still my little angel and we sure love her!
She may look little, but she's 50th percentile for height and 20th for weight; I think it's her lack of hair that makes her seem younger than she is. =)

May oh May!
Don't worry, the kids had a great time in Bear Lake while we were gone! Grandpa and Grandma kept them entertained!
Then we went to Palisade's, "camping". We stayed in one of their cabins, which was very handy with the children! Thanks Dad & Mom!
Then up to Bear Lake for Memorial Day weekend! Thought we'd go boating, but it ended up SNOWING all day Sunday! We were a little bummed, but still had a great time hanging out in the cabin.
What a busy time we're having!!

Easter
This is the best picture of our family from Easter... I'm a little sad about it, but I should've done it first thing in the morning and not right before nap time, so I take partial blame. We look okay though.
Easter weekend was super busy! Chauza Easter party, of course!
Egg decorating! Wesley loved it! Keira enjoyed the stickers, Grandpa colored her eggs for her. Wesley kept putting his in blue and having to wait for his blue eggs to finish so he could make another blue one!
Cupcake eating contest!
There seemed to be quite a few ties... Rob conveniently was changing Keira's diaper during the contest, so he missed it! Wesley actually participated this year! Last year he just starred at everyone like they were crazy!
Egg hunt!
Or more of an egg scramble, really; the eggs weren't exactly "hidden". Keira and Wesley loved it! Plenty for everyone, so it wasn't a problem of not getting enough!
Wesley's last soccer game was right before the party. His coach gave us Real tickets for that night and we decided to go ahead and stop by for a little bit. It was fun to watch! The crowd cheered every time the ball went out of bounds and Wesley would ask why they were cheering... it made me laugh! I don't understand soccer still. And then Real actually scored a point and the crowd went crazy and Wesley did not like that!! (Keira was tough the whole time, as long as I'm calm, she's usually fine).
I love this picture! Wesley with his blue tongue and Keira playing with her bunny ears! We really had a great weekend! And I love that Wesley could understand more of the Easter story.

March
Christi turned 30! Wahoo!
Had an aweseome 80's party with my friends! Thanks everyone for being such good sports and dressing for the occassion!
Wesley was still in soccer and was loving hanging out with his friends more than anything! He's on the verge of being done with naps and the games were all during "nap time" so some days he was dragging a little bit. Keira was sad that she couldn't play.
Talked Rob into doing a 5k with me (this is a terrible picture, but the only one I have). I was really proud of us! We both had personal bests for time. It was kind of windy that day and I got sore shins from it, but I'm glad we did it. We'll sign up for another one soon!
Wesley is a candy fiend! Loves, loves it! Drives me a little crazy, but it's sometimes a good incentive.
Keira is more picking about her treats. She loves chocolate (just like Mommy), but doesn't like gummy items as much...
She's now putting words together more often, "more please" and "hi dada", etc. It's adorable! "I love you" is still one word for her though. =)
What a great month!
And after such a calm (no snow) winter, it's starting to get warmer! We're really excited to get outside and have some more options for activities for these kiddos!
