Last week was just one of those weeks when it didn't seem like anything went right. We started the week on a major power struggle between me and Paige. She thinks it is her turn to be in charge. And I'm not ready for that (nor do I think I will be for at least 15 more years.)
When she went to bed Monday night, I thought she was happily asleep, but an hour later she came down covered head to toe in heavy hand cream (Eucrin) I threw (almost literally) her in the shower, changed out her linens, tried to clean her (but realized this stuff doesn't come off with soap and water,) and put her back to bed. Tuesday I washed her hair in coke. It actually got the oily slimy stuff out.
Tuesday night Paige was running a fever and woke up early Wednesday throwing up. Ugh!!! Then, while I was up taking a shower, she figured out how to open the medication bottles and drunk half a bottle of Children's Motrin. So I got to make my first call to poison control. They said she would be fine, even if she took the whole bottle...how comforting. She was fine the rest of the day (due to the fever actually being gone, or the extra drugs, I don't know.)
The week started getting better after that. But I swear those were the longest 3 days I've had in a while.
