Christmas 2012

The girl's favorite gifts were probably the matching dolls that Aubrey's mom gave us (the baby I tend). The whole break we spent time at both the Harston's and Beus'- we were totally spoiled and had tons of good food and family time!

When we got Jenny's Christmas card Beth started talking about Grace so much that she wanted me to send her a picture of her blowing kisses to grace! We sure love cousins!

ImageThis was so cute it was Beth opening her first gift- she shook it and thought and said in the cutest way with her little finger pointed- "I think it's a puzzle" and then sure enough she opened it and it sure was! She's so smart!

Why do I buy toys if boxes are this much fun?!

Especially if cousins are over to play house with us!

When Chris and Sariah came over for games all their kiddos were asleep and Sam and Miriam were fighting even in their sleep!

I had Rachel and Rob for Christmas and so I made them personalized Christmas stockings- just like we had growing up. I also got a preschool book for Ely and put all the pages in individual sheet protectors so that Ely can do them over and over with the expo markers.

Things I want to remember:

Ben and I were playing with Beth and I kept warning her it was almost time for bed but she was singing and dancing so cute I said "Beth you are so cute, who would want to put you to bed?" With out a pause she pointed at me and said "you!" For two and a half she is sooo smart!

Beth loves to help me in the kitchen, this week she helped me pick the last tomatoes before the snow hit and we washed them and canned them. She is actually getting pretty helpful! We canned pear sauce, tomatoes, apple sauce.

Ruth and Aubrey (the baby I tend) are getting to be good playmates- both attempting walking. Ruth eats sooo much! She is not picky at all now thank goodness! She is starting to talk (dada and mama). She is very cuddly and a great sleeper!!!

For journaling sake I want to remember how happy I am. Mothering can have hard times but most of the time I love playing with my kiddos. We cuddle tons. Ben and I get along so well and my marriage to him is the best thing that ever happened to me. The Lord is good and we are trying to be good people and do what God wants us to do.

"Up" Halloween

We had dinner and doughnuts at Brians up in Heber the weekend before Halloween and then for FHE before we carved pumpkins and then on Halloween we visited Aunt Linda and Great Grandmother Harston and then had a trunk or treat and chili at the church. It was great and the girls LOVED it! (of course) Beth is so shy she wouldn't be real proactive about trick or treating but that's fine by me! I'd rather her stay sweet and shy than too crazy!

BYU blackout game

If Ben had his way we would be season ticket holders but that will come another year! For now we splurged and went to this one with my Dad, Jenny, Eric and their kids! We all had a blast (except for the fourth quarter!) wish we had won but it was so fun! Beth and Ruth were happy the whole time!
