 TAHOE With The PROCTOR'S
Each summer we have been going to different locations to spend part of a week with the Proctor Gang. This year we met in Tahoe. What a fun time and a gorgeous place to be! we had so much fun, riding bikes, playing on the beach, hiking and swimming!

The Infamous Bear Story.....One event will make this trip more memorable than any other. The first night we were there, ( I will take full credit for this one.) left the door sliding door open to cool down the cabin. Brandon was still in Chico so the girls and I. slept in the two bedrooms by the kitchen. I woke up to someone banging around in the kitchen, thinking it was my mother or sister in law. I was surprised when the bear, yes, BEAR! Came into full view. He was looking around as if he had cooked in a house many times. We were luky enough to have him leave n his own terms and no one got hurt... well except for the cheese.

                                                            Jude's Baby Blessing

After the Tahoe Trip, we celebrated Grandma Peggy's Birthday and Blessed Jude at our house.
Image
All the Cousins- I love to get the group of kids together to take a picture for  a few reasons. It is always fun to see how much they grow and change from time to time. The other reason is because in order to get them all to smile and stay in position, uncle Alan turns into the silliest grown man I have ever seen. The kids go crazy over him. You can see ift on all of there faces! It is hysterical! Thanks to everyone who made Jude's Blessing.  Grandpa Proctor gave him a wonderful blessing, and then we had a great afternoon celebrating Peggy's 70th. It was fun walking down memory lane telling Peggy why we think she is great! We had a fun time opening gifts and eating lots of yummy salads, topping it off with a watermelon cake.

we didn't even try to color coordinate.

Brandon and I decided we needed to spend some good family time together. He has been working very hard, long hours and we needed a get away. We planned a surprise trip. We told the girls we were just going to go to Seattle for a long weekend.
Surprise trip to MAUI !!!
At the airport, Brooklyn recognized right away that we were at the wrong airline. She said we aren't Hawaiian?? It was so fun to let loose and enjoy the beautiful island, Maui. We rented a beautiful house with a pool and a lizard paradise in the dense backyard. We also brought along my sister Ashely to help out with the kids and especially Jude. It was such a great trip. None of us wanted it to end.

Standing by a banyan tree on our hike, just the road to Hona., one of the craziest roads I have ever been on.

Brooklyn climbing a tree after our picnic.

The hike was beautiful the pictures don't do it justice.
Image
We found a toad at the last part of the hike. Brooklyn was in heaven. The toad looks and acted a hundred years old.

Image
More shots from the hike. There was a  fun waterfall we took turns jumping off the low rocks with B!

Addy's favorite flower. This rosy red cheeked girl was a great hiker.
                                                The BEACH... BOOGIE BOARDING!
One of our Favorite things to do is play in the waves. The water was amazing the beach was close to our house so we kept going back for more action.
Image
Brooklyn came in on a wave and got sand blasted! She was a natural on the boogie board.

If you look close you can see the crab we found that morning in Bradon's hand.

Our sand creations! Addy loved being a mermaid!

Image
And Brooklyn loved being... whatever that is?

Image
It was so nice to have my sister come. She was such a great help! Plus Brandon and I got to go out on a few dates too! i think we look like sister's in this  picture.

Image
We tried to take some nice pictures, but we were all torched by the sun and look exhausted.

Image
Except for Addy, she had the giggles and couldn't stop laughing.

After exploring the town full of fun shops this is one of the fun places we went to eat. Mama's Fish house.
So many beautiful places to take a picture.

The view from our house. We keep thinking we need to move here.

One morning we left Jude with Ashley and we set off to see if we could see any sea life on our clear bottom kayaks. We got very lucky. We  immediately saw around 30 spinner dolphins! shortly after we saw a great big sea turtle.

We also had a great time picking all the different fruit and discovering what was inside.

The goggles and swim clothes hardly ever came off.

One evening we took everyone to a phenomenal Luau at the Grand Wialea Resort. The girls even did a impressive job learning the hula. We will always love our memories of the surprise trip to Maui. Can't wait until we can go back again some day!

                                                            Kari and Madi's Visit...
My best Friend Kari and her daughter Madi came to visit the last week of Summer. Brooklyn and Madi took about 2 minutes after picking them up from the airport before they were giggling and best of buddies the rest of the trip.  We see them just once a year if that, but you would never be able to tell.

Kari and I got dressed up and went out  one night. We even let Brandon join us! It was so much fun. I miss Kari almost more when I get to be around her. We have known each other since we were in the 1st grade and she cut a girls pony tail off.

Image
The girls caught a butterfly!

Image
We had to take them to our favorite pool of the Summer!

Image

Image
They spent endless amounts of time on the swing together.

Image
They even realized they had the same clothes. They couldn't be more alike! Kari and I always talked about our kids being best friends just like we were. I am so glad it came true. Even if it is only for one week out of the year! I think they both cried when it was time to take them home. Sweetest thing ever.

Peach Pickin. The Chico State Farm lets you pick your own Peaches. What a wonderful thing to do! I love it when your kids realize exactly where and how our food comes by.

Jude at 4 months... Life with 3 is busy. They always say that by the third one, you stop taking pictures. Well I hate to say it is kind of true. Jude is always smiles, well most of the time. He is a really enjoyable baby! We love him so! I can't imagine not having him as part of our family!

                                                                 First Day of School

Image
Addy still has one more year of preschool, but couldn't have her feeling left out.

Image
Brooklyn,  just started 4th Grade. I have to take a deep breath when i say that.  She got a really fabulous teacher and I am hoping it will be a really great year. She is growing up so much and is so helpful with Jude. She really is a good, good girl. I am proud of her and all the good choices she makes.

Image
Gosh, they are cute!

Jude on the Swing

Image
Jude at 5 months. Addy is a natural with babies. She know just how to talk to them. It is one of my favorite things to hear. Her little voice imitating what a mama would say in the cutest little voice.
ImageImage

She makes some pretty good faces too. She actually insisted on feeding Jude his first meal of baby cereal.

Flume Trail Hike -  Labor Day weekend!
Image

Image
Some Friends told us about his hike. It was so pretty! It was a great way to spend the holiday! After you hike up. You pull out some tubs and float down the lazy river.
Image

Image
Addy wouldn't smile for me. There were a lot of bugs so she started to walk with her hand on her face.

Image
You end up at the Dam and there were so many little frogs. She sang to them and stuck them on her belly and legs and they pretty much hung out with her.
Image
Jude is starting to gain some weight.

Brandon's  34th Birthday!!!

Image
It has been really busy around here lately and Brandon's Birthday was no exception. After  school, piano, soccer,  and a YW''s Dinner event we finally ate a late dinner  together and  had some ice cream cake and opened a few present. We love our 34 year old Dad, who feels like he is getting too old. He is still young enough to play and make us laugh, so we will keep him, for at least one more year.
