Catalyzing innovations from farm to fork
Berytech launched the Agrytech Innovation Hub in 2017 to develop businesses and create jobs in the Agri-food sector in Lebanon. The program aimed to stimulate innovators and entrepreneurs to put their creativity and energy to develop local solutions to agriculture and food challenges facing Lebanon and the world by applying a sector-wide approach for economic growth.
Over two years, Berytech, with the support and co-funding from The Kingdom of The Netherlands, (1) developed Agrytech – an accelerator program to advance agri-food innovative ideas into successful businesses, (2) helped setup QOOT – the first Lebanese cluster to empower the smart Agri-Food community, (3) shared business and industry knowledge through an open-source resources platform, and finally (4) setup the Berytech Fab Lab – a digital fabrication lab to bring together makers and innovators in their passion for prototyping.
