Halfway Done and Other Fun!

Image
We decided to document how Sunday makes us feel one day when we were talking about how great the Sabbath Day is!  I love these beautiful girls!

She was super thrilled that we made lasagna. . .this was her THIRD plateful!
Image
Totally goofy picture but thought I'd document the bump halfway through this pregnancy!  Can't wait to find out what we're having!

This little daredevil 2 year old figured she would just go for it and learn to slide down the fireman's pole at the park.  Scares me every time she swings out to wrap her legs around it ut she loves it!

Fourth of July Fun 2015

It was blazing hot and humid this year and we haven't been in Washington for a few years to celebrate Independence Day so we had to come up with some fun stuff to keep the kids busy, cool, and thinking of our great country and the freedoms we enjoy.
Image
I decided that being prego and standing around in the heat for a parade with three little girls would probably not be the most enjoyable experience even though I looooove going to parades.  Instead we started the day with red/pink and blue pancakes and a trip to the local park to play before all the slides and swings got filled up and too hot to use!

The girls spent the morning opening a pattern teaching store.  I love how creative they are with pattern blocks.  And it keeps them occupied quietly forever . .until Abigail decides to be Godzilla and run in a wreck all their beautiful creations. . .so yes that peaceful moment was broken with a little time out for that little stinker.

We took a short hike to some local waterfalls and let's just say that steep declines and pregnancy do not mix well.  I felt like I was tipping forward the whole time and looked like a complete goofball trying to keep my balance! But the waterfalls were beautiful and reminded me of our picnics to Buckaloo Springs and the 20 foot Waterfalls when I was a child.  I loved going there and just hanging out for the day.

We went swimming and had water gun fights and of course Abigail practiced her tackling/wrestling moves.  This girl is STRONG and it cracks me up when she tackles her big sisters down and holds them down there.  They get laughing so hard and can't get her off since she's over half their weight so it's hilarious to watch!

Image
We checked out the local Farmer's Market and even got to hold some baby bunnies!
Image

Image
Thank goodness Boeing decided to let Scott have a holiday off. . .we got to hang out with him for a whole three days in a row and it was deliriously fun for the girls.
Image
Although this looks like complete daytime this is in fact at 8;30 at night, we weren't sure how long the girls could hold out to wait for fireworks so we let them do super pop its and sparklers early.  As you can see Abigail is serious about throwing her pop its and sweet little Adelaide could not stand how sparklers smelled hahaha!  We actually stayed up until nearly 11:00 pm watching the fireworks all over the valley.  It was a beautiful show and the girls had so much fun!  I think it was a great 4th of July!

Highlights

So I haven't felt entirely awesome since January and I've completely let my family blog go.  I kept putting off updating it because it felt too overwhelming to make it all organized and fancy with great writing and such and then I realized that it was about documenting the memories of our family to look back on and smile and/or cry about.  So for February through June of this year I have posted one post for each month highlighting the best parts of that month.  Ahhh it feels good to be up to date!  One more thing to mark off the never ending to do list!

Family Reunion ,Father's Day and lots of June 2015 Fun!

Image
It's time for our yearly Rohrer Family Union and we got this grand idea that we would drive all night to Utah and surprise mom and day by arriving early in the morning. . .sadly as soon as midnight hit, the melt downs started and everyone was a hot mess so we stopped and spent the night in some random town on the road. . .we still arrived about 8 hours earlier than planned so it was a fun surprise!
Image
Let me first say that I am usually strictly against taking landscape pictures. I think it's leftover from the days when you had to conserve your roll of film because it was expensive to get it developed and you only wanted the "money shots' that actually included people.  But the sky was so beautiful on our drive and Scott was making fun of me for taking pictures!

Papa and Uncle Shae started the dance party with Abigail!

Yes those are cups full of popcorn attached to their feet!  Grandma put together some really fun afternoon outside games for everyone. Clearly Esilyn isn't feeling the fun yet!

Everyone is getting settled in for the super fun talent show about to happen!  (Esilyn, Adeaide, Violette, and Elivea)
Image
Avonleah, Elauna and Conley waiting for their turn to shine!  Avonleah decided to memorize and recite the entire "Highway Man" this year and I must say the girl made me proud and lived up to her Anne of Green Gables namesake!  She's so delightful!

Avonleah was trying to comfort Wesley but mostly he just looked a little uncomfortable
Image
My girls absolutely love Uncle D. . .he always has time to listen and play and explain things and he never tires of having 25 kids hanging all over him.  We are so blessed to have him back in the States!
Image

Image
Oh and yes I spent the entire vacation in the throes of passing this behomoth of a kidney stone. . .thank you Heber Valley ER for helping us work through this disaster. . being pregnant and having kidney stones is a whole other level of pain I must say.

My mom drove home with me because I still wasn't feeling my best and she got this grand idea to buy these neon frosted cupcakes. . .Abigail's hands and cheeks were stained blue for a few days!
Image
Happy Father's Day!  I'm so blessed to have this man as a Father to my girls. He is such a good Daddy and once again he wore the amazing duck tape bow tie that Avonleah made for him a few years ago. . such a fun tradition!
Image
Activity Day Camp was "awesome!" this year, Avonleah not only got to attend some great classes to inspire her spirituality, she was thrilled that they got to learn some archery and got to shoot BB guns. . she's quite a good shot I must say!  2 out of 3 in the bullseye!

We kept trying to get the girls to take a semi normal looking picture of us together because mom wanted one by these beautiful flowers in my back yard. . .sadly not any of them turned out to awesome
Image
Sooooo we tried a selfie, clearly my mom was a little uncomfortable with the idea but of course she's always beautiful so it turned out cute and I love having a pictures with us together.

All of the sudden she looks up from breakfast and says, "look mom I bit it into a heart!"
Image

Image
For cooking class Avonleah made her very first batch of banana bread all by herself. . .and yes don't judge sometimes we do homeschool classes in our pj's when mom is sick and the laundry isn't all done yet
Image
Scott grilled us up some yummy chicken and burgers and hot dogs for Memorial Day and we had fun being together. . .of course this morning/all day sickness is killing me right now.
