In the words of Rodney Harrison, president of Baptist Homes & Healthcare Ministries, “As a noun, the word standard describes a level of quality or attainment. As an adjective, a standard is that which is accepted as normal or typical. At Baptist Homes & Healthcare Ministries, our vision is “Making Christlike Ministry the Standard of Care for the Aging.”
At Baptist Homes we believe things like great physical, mental, and spiritual care should be common practice. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Which is why Baptist Homes, through the care that we provide, are looking to Rewrite the Standard for Care for the Aging.
We also recognize that rewriting the standard is a lofty goal. But that is what makes the goal so desirable and important to us. We want people to know that caring for the soul as well as the body is something that should be done in every care facility. By providing that type of next level care, we pray that others will follow suit.
Church Resources
At Baptist Homes, we are very proud of the support that local churches have graciously provided throughout the 100+ years that we have been operating. To this day, we still have many opportunities for ministries of all kinds to give their time, heart, and wisdom to our residents. From renovations, to working the grounds, to a simple conversation, the effect churches have on our residents is noticeable.
