Well... sort of! I added an emphasis to my Elementary Education major. It's considered a major change.
Last week I discovered that I only needed TWO more classes to be able to teach Kindergarten and Preschool, along with the usual 1st through 8th grade. {This isn't the case for every Elementary Education major. I started out wanting an emphasis and abandoned it, so I was further ahead}.
Anyways... I decided to do it! I was only two classes away. I might as well.
I was planning on taking both of those classes in the Spring, but one was only offered in the Fall/Winter. So I had to add one of those classes this semester. I was already at the max amount of credits for BYU {18}. Right now I am taking twenty-one credits {obviously over the max}.
Basically I might die.
But I am proud to announce I am now OFFICIALLY an Elementary Education MAJOR with an EMPHASIS in Early Childhood Education and a MINOR in Teaching English Language Learners. Sounds pretty cool right? I'm technically a DUAL major. I'm an Elementary Education major (1-8th grade) and an Early Childhood Education major (preschool-3rd grade). In plain English it means I can teach Preschool to 8th grade and am endorsed to teach kids learning English.
Eww... a post with no pictures. How embarrassingly boring. I'm on a computer on campus so I don't even have access to pictures. Thank goodness for facebook, right?
Here is a completely unrelated photo. This is me and Tandy aka Sister Shields. She is serving in Japan right now. I got a letter from her this last week :)

My LAST real SeMeSTeR
It is so crazy to think this is the last semester I will have classes at BYU. Seriously how crazy is that?
I am taking 18 credits {the MOST I have EVER taken and the MAX at BYU}.
It is a similar set up to last semester. I will spend about 2/3 of the time at BYU and 1/3 of the time in an elementary school classroom {I have already been assigned to the 4th grade. so excited!}
The classes I'm taking:
*Math Methods- exactly as it sounds methods to teach math
*Science Methods- methods to teach science
*Social Studies Methods- methods to teach social studies
*Literacy Methods-seeing a pattern?
*CPSE- Special Education
*Instruction and Assessment- exactly as it sounds
*TELL Practicum- This is my only 4 credit hour class. My minor is Teaching English Language Learners or TELL and my instructors have to see it in practice before I can be endorsed with that minor.
James's classes:
*Soccer started and that is a million hours a week. It's like a job. But it is so fun! He has been doing all of these tests he did a bodpod test- to see his % body fat. A blood lactose test, vo2 max, etc. He's really liked them.
He's also taking
*Chemistry
*Russian
*Career Exploration
*Humanities
*Writing Fellows Writing- He is a writing fellow this semester. It is basically a writing tutor for some Russian classes.
You can't have a blogpost without a picture, so I dug this up. Here is me in the 4th grade. You think I can handle it Right?

The First Cricut Project
For Christmas I received a cricut. {which is essentially a personal cutting machine for scrapbooking and things like that}. I present to you my first project!
There are 4 picture frames hanging up in my bedroom.{It looks a little high, but our bed is still on the floor, 7 months into the marriage and we still don't have a bed frame!}
There is one word in each frame from the phrase "Always kiss me goodnight."
And here is the final product...
p.s. this project cost me a whole $1.38. The only thing I bought were 2 pages of scrapbook paper for 69 cents.
p.p.s. I made the curtains AND all of the pillows {except the white ones, those came with our bedspread}

HoMe(s) 4 the HoLiDaYs: Part 2
VEGAS Highlights!
...Depending on how you look at it {fortunately or unfortunately} we pretty much only have pictures with the nieces and nephews. Honestly, only had our camera out one day, when Ryan and Marie's kids were over. But don't worry Teisha I made sure to take a picture with your twins before we left! :){my mom took ALL of the California pictures. I either need to A) find someone else to take pictures for us in Vegas or B) take more pictures myself!}
*We obviously spent lots of time with the nieces and nephews. These are all of the girls living in Vegas, {there's one more living in Michigan}.
*We played the game "Imagine Iff" @ Teisha's house with Teisha, Collins, Scott, Tami, and Paul. We also played "Family Feud @ Teisha's with the same crowd.
*James fell in LOVE with Tallon's toys. He literally could play for hours upon hours with them. He initiated several nerf gun wars with Dean and Tallon.
*We went to Alia's 4 year old birthday breakfast @ Ryan and Marie's house.
*We saw Brendan Chesser, Jordan Johnson, and Justine Habibian {fun fact: Jordan was James's roommate when we emt at EFY} James also saw Kevin and some other friends without me.
*We went to McDonalds with all 6 nieces and nephews that live in Vegas. CRAZY.
*James made his homemade fried rice and sweet and sour sauce with chicken for everyone.
*We ate at this really cool seafood place, where they basically give you bags full of shrimp or crab or crawfish. Then you take the head off and eat them. I honestly don't like seafood that much, but I liked this one!
*We went to the Bellagio to see the flowers, like tradition. And we went to this awesome new hotel the Cosmopolitan. It was so cool! I definitely recommend checking both of those hotels out when you get a chance to go to Vegas.
We had a GREAT time in Vegas. Can't wait for out next visit!
