PUEBLO, Colo. (Aug. 27, 2020) – Colorado State University Pueblo Men's Basketball Head Coach Matt Hammer has elevated Matt Glover from graduate assistant coach to his first assistant. 
 
"As a program, we're extremely fortunate to be able to keep Matt as an assistant coach and our recruiting coordinator," Hammer said. "He's proven that he has a strong work ethic and the passion it takes to be a successful coach at this level. The student-athletes in our program will be better because they have a mentor like Coach Glover!"
 
Glover will serve as the Men's Basketball Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator after joining Hammer on the bench last season. He will transition from working primarily with the forwards and centers to coaching both the guards and the bigs.
 
"I'm not only excited to contribute to the vision of CSU Pueblo Athletics, but also the university's Vision 2028," Glover said. "I want to thank Coach Hammer for allowing me this opportunity. For the belief and trust in helping to build up the basketball program into something the city of Pueblo can take pride in and appreciate."
 
In his first season with the ThunderWolves, Glover primarily oversaw academics while recruiting, executing daily operations duties and scouting opponents. He will transition into planning and coordinating all practices, workouts and competitions. He will also oversee daily operations, alumni engagement, fundraising and camps.
 
Last season, the Pack went 11-17 overall and 9-13 in league play. 
 
Prior to CSU Pueblo, Glover was a men's basketball graduate assistant at Regis University. He earned his Master's Degree in communication & leadership.

Glover played basketball at Penn State for one year in 2012 before transferring to the University of San Francisco. Glover is originally from Orange County, Calif. He is married to Pack assistant volleyball coach, Katelyn Glover.
