The Indiana University Maurer School of Law Announces 2-Year LL.M.

Program includes additional English language instruction

Indiana University's Maurer School of Law has announced the launch of a new two-year LL.M. program, according to the school's website.

The new two-year LL.M. program includes two stages. In the first year of the program, students will work on their legal English skills while also learning about the US legal system. If students satisfy the requirements for completion of the first part of the program, in the second year they will continue onto the LL.M. program.

During the second year of the two-year LL.M. program, students will be able to specialize in one of the following legal areas:

  • Business and commercial law
  • Financial regulation and capital markets
  • Information privacy and cybersecurity law
  • Intellectual property law
  • International and comparative law; globalization
  • LL.M. in American law

To apply for the new two-year LL.M. program, prospective students will need a first degree in law and either a TOEFL iBT score of at least 74, or an IELTS score of at least 6. Other supporting documents, such as transcripts and a personal statement, will also be required.
