
Luque Promoted to Associate Head Coach of Men’s Soccer Program

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – USC Upstate head men's soccer coach Scott Halkett announced the promotion of Nico Luque from assistant coach to associate head coach on Tuesday morning.
"It is a great pleasure for me to announce the promotion of Nico Luque to the position of Associate Head Coach of men's soccer". Nico's impact on the program has been fantastic," said head coach Scott Halkett. "His detailed knowledge of the game, his recruiting efforts, and his management of and relationships with the players has helped transform the program. This promotion is well deserved."
Luque joined the coaching staff at USC Upstate in August of 2017 and has worked tirelessly over the past three seasons to help build the program. He is involved in all aspects of the program on and off the field. Luque has been instrumental in raising the profile of the team and the quality of play on the field.
Luque joined the Spartans staff after serving as the assistant coach for Concorida University in Seward, Neb. For three seasons.
