Two other versions of Audubon's passenger pigeons exist- an earlier version made in Louisville, KY on December 11, 1809 now in the Houghton Library, Harvard University; an oil copy of the present picture by Joseph Kidd now in the collection of Harvard University’s Museum of Comparative Zoology.
