WU Executive Academy Announces New LL.M. in Digitalization & Tax Law

New program to help students stay on top digital transformations in tax law

Austria's WU Executive Academy has announced the launch of a new LL.M. in Digitalization and Tax Law.

The new program, which is set to launch this fall, aims to prepare students with the skills needed to use new technologies and innovations in tax practices.

"In the light of trends such as big data, automation, and collaboration, established methods need an overhaul and executives have to keep their eyes open for alternatives if they want to stay competitive also in the future – and that is particularly the case when it comes to tax law,” says Barbara Stöttinger, Dean of the WU Executive Academy.

As such, the program will cover emerging topics like artificial intelligence and blockchain, and how technologies like these can be used to make processes more effective and streamlined.

The LL.M. will focus on three sections: tax law, business process modeling, and a comprehensive practice part. The curriculum in the new LL.M. in Digitalization and Tax Law will include courses such as "Data Accessibility and Cloud Solutions," "International Tax Law," and "Process Mining for VAT," among others.

The new LL.M. will include a master's thesis and take 12 months to complete on a part-time basis.
