Don’t get distracted by the noise, focus on the task at hand. It’s very easy to be influenced by news in your industry or of your competitors. All that can potentially lead to anxiety or to ever changing business priorities and objectives. As a leader, you need to focus on the things you can control and the rest will fall into place.

As a part of our series about business leaders who are shaking things up in their industry, I had the pleasure of interviewing Christian Joseph, Co-Founder and CEO of Grain Technology, Inc.

Christian is the CEO and Co-Founder of Grain. Previously, he was Product Manager at Dropbox, a workspace that helps people and teams collaborate efficiently. Christian’s career began in college when he founded his first company, Yardale, an online marketplace that increased foot traffic in retail stores. Christian is passionate about solving problems with tech and data. When he has spare time, he goes for hikes with his dog Kali in the Bay area and indulges in donuts. He earned his BBA from The University of Texas at Arlington and completed the IB Program at the University of Oxford.

When I got older, I moved to the United States where I finished high school. I ended up getting my Bachelor’s degree in Finance. But yet, my passion for tech never left. So I knew that somehow my curiosity for machines, software, and coding would eventually lead me to tech. Right…
