First let me say that this simple strip of plastic with barbs is an absolute work of genius. It is the simplest way to clear a sink drain of hair and gunk. No chemicals, plungers, or fuss. The thing works in moments.

In my bathroom sink, hair inevitably clogs the drain. Used to require waiting until my busy building super had time to come. Quite a few years ago, I found this item, which was new at the time. Since then, as soon as I hear the "glug glug" indicating that my drain is starting to get clogged, I thread this gadget down, pull up the gross clot of hair making the problem, and get on with my eblutions.

So, with all this enthusiasm, why did I take off a star? It has taken me years to need to replace the very first Zip-It I bought. When I was ordering the replacement, I wondered why I'd need a pack of three, and why the description mentioned that they were disposable. Turns out that the very first time I used one of the new ones, and for a pretty small clog, the Zip-It was shot. The barbs are bigger and harder to thread down the drain than the older one, and they were pretty much destroyed in one use.

I mean... it still worked, but what a shame. More plastic for the landfill, and not as good as the original. Breaks my heart a little.

10/10 would recommend. Had a slow draining sink with a stopper I couldn't take out, had a toothbrush handle holding it open 🤦🏾‍♀️ just for flow sake. I tried multiple products like Draino and the like, buying this was a last ditch effort before I got under the sink and started taking pipes apart. I'm so glad I did, worked like a charm , the amount of gunk and hair that was pulled out was definitely gross though. Drain flow is amazing now. It was so easy to use, it made l me want to check other house drains just because.

Wow. Rarely nowadays do you buy a product that actually works well, the first time, let alone on repeat uses, and has good value. The zip-it clog remover is just that. It couldn't be simpler to use. Shove the plastic in the drain as much as you can, rotate it, then pull it out. Watch as all the clog troubles are unleashed. Then you can grab a paper towel etc and remove the gunk from the zip-it. Wash it and it is reusable. For not too much money you get THREE. I see them eventually maybe losing bendability and needing replacement, but not for a long time (unless you are clogging your drains frequently). This purchase will last a long time.

Works good for the tub drain but not for the sink, couldn’t really pull it out of the sink at first but when I managed to do so it didn’t really help at all. As for the tub, it really did get almost all of the hair out of the drain so 50/50.

This gadget worked GREAT, & it prevented me from having to call a plumber Z! I have very long hair... even though I'm careful about collecting the hair, some still goes into the drain. It was taking a LONG TIME to drain... right before I bought these, the tub was taking hours to drain... but there was water present in the tub that night.

The week before I got these drain cleaners, I used the drain cleaner in the green bottle (green is in the name... you know the brand). I left it for 2 entire days... it DIDN'T unclog the drain at all!

When I used this stick, there was a ton of hair coming up. I couldn't believe how much was in there! No wonder it wouldn't drain...

ALWAYS keep these in all the bathrooms! You don't have to use a bucket, or get underneath the sink to remove the p-trap, to clear a sink drain... just run this down the drain several times & pull it out, removing the hair & other stuff before putting it down the drain again.

This works BETTER than using drain cleaners!

Want to know what a plumber told me last year? He said Drano causes a LOT of damage to PVC pipes & should NEVER be used. He said some of those misc drain cleaners dont always work, and there is usually some material left in the pipe that will slow it down & cause other items to get caught easily... and it is guaranteed that the line will block up again.

He also said if you got young kids, they put things in the drain that shouldn't go in there... and having these around is literally a blessing & will save you a SERIOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY... just using it ONE TIME can save you a minimum of $220!!

For clearing the clog we had in the shower it had enough length and barbs to get the job done.

After months of trying to get the sink unclogged this worked in about two minutes. It was so easy! I've had plumbers use snakes in the past that didn't work at all so I really didn't want to go that route. They should all have a Zip It :)

The info that came with it says they are unbreakable but when I was straightening them one looked like it wanted to refute that claim. I'll use that one last but it's such an awesome product and you get three that it really isn't an issue.

Unclogged our bathroom sink in less than five minutes. The culprit was a rusted and corroded hair clip that was probably more than 10 years old.

I found that it worked well on my bathroom sink, once I removed the stopper (the kind that is always attached). The kitchen sink had a built in semi-screen, so when I brought the zip-it up, the teeth tended to rip off when they hit the cross-bars. That said, my plumber snaked it and said the blockage was quite a distant past the drain opening, so a zip-it wouldn't go that far.

Verdict - it works well if the conditions are right. The plumber said the same thing.

The Zip-It was very easy to use. I cleared my drain in less than a minute. It was a nightmare how much hair was in the drain, and the Zip-It made it easy to clear out.

This is a great product and makes it very easy to unclog your drains. What a great invention!
