NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Three Bluejays earned all-conference honors from the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, as announced by the league office Tuesday morning.

Bryce Gable earned First Team All-CCIW defensive honors, while Connor Devries and R.J. Anderson earned second team honors on defense and offense, respectively. Senior linebacker Antonio Carillo was named the Bluejays' RESPECT Award recipient.

Gable earned First Team All-CCIW defensive honors for the third-consecutive year, just the second Bluejay in history and the first defensive player in school history to do so. Gable led Elmhurst in nearly all defensive categories in the 2023 season, recording 54 solo tackles and 35 assisted tackles for 89 total, tallying 15.5 tackles-for-loss, 4.0 sacks, and two forced fumbles, also ranking second on the team with two interceptions. Among fellow CCIW student-athletes, Gable ranked second in total tackles, third in solo tackles and tackles-for-loss, and fourth in assisted tackles.

Gable wraps up his career as a Bluejay as one of the most decorated defensive players in the school's history. Gable earned all-CCIW honors all four seasons, earning second team honors as a freshman in 2019 before gaining first-team nods from 2021-23. Gable ranks second in Elmhurst history in solo tackles with 232, fourth in assisted tackles with 148 and sacks with 21, and third in total tackles with 280, and is Elmhurst's all-time tackles-for-loss leader with 65.0 in his career.

Devries earned Second Team All-CCIW defensive honors after a career-best season in the secondary for the Bluejays. Devries led the team with four interceptions on the season and tied for the team lead in fumbles recovered with two. His four interceptions ranked second in the CCIW during the 2023 season. Devries earns his first-career all-conference honor with his selection in the 2023 season.

Anderson earned Second Team All-CCIW honors as one of the top tight ends in the conference this season, recording 25 receptions for 140 yards and a touchdown on the year. The senior earns his first career all-conference honors.

Carillo earned Elmhurst's RESPECT Award nod, which is given to the student-athlete from each member institution that has distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust.
