Carrollton City Schools unveils updated softball complex

Carrollton High School’s softball program has a new home, thanks to a recent renovation that provides a first-class facility designed to enhance the student-athlete experience while also creating additional physical education space. Funded by the Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (ESPLOST), the renovations include a new locker room and a turf field that will be used by the CHS softball team, CMS physical education classes and spring sports programs, providing a versatile space for practice and instruction.

Sweet memories made at CHS New Student Social

To help new students get acquainted, Carrollton High hosted an ice cream social this week. Student leaders shared their experiences and ways to get involved on campus, encouraging every new student to embrace all that the Trojan Nation has to offer. It was a great afternoon making friends and learning more about the school.

CMS young engineers rise to the challenge

In Mr. Charles Young's Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) class, his students were challenged to use recycled newspapers to build a structure strong enough to support a basketball. This creative learning challenge required students to think outside the box!

New friends and new routines at CES!

Carrollton Elementary students visited the media center and picked out their first books of the year! Learning to hold the book location with a wooden marker was a new skill for the first graders. Students enjoyed finding new books and sharing them with their teachers and classmates.

Creative classroom learning at CUES

At Carrollton Upper Elementary, students reviewed their knowledge of weather instruments and scientific terminology. Ms. Madeline Wentworth designed a fun vocabulary game where she provided the definition, and the students got competitive as they raced to identify the correct word on the board.

Golden Givers provide unique opportunities for students! With the support of the CCS Education Foundation, the CHS Remotely Operated Vehicle team had the adventure of a lifetime: “My trip to Michigan was a very good experience. I had the opportunity to meet many diverse people from all over the world and see what it’s like to compete in an international MATE competition. Overall, I was very thankful for the opportunity and can’t wait to compete again!” - Mason Scoville, CHS junior.
