Situated about 20 minutes from SeaTac Airport and about 13 minutes from the Port of Seattle, you’ll find downtown Seattle.  The city is home to numerous attractions and there truly is something for everyone.  You can find interesting history, great cuisine, amazing museums, national sport teams, eclectic music, beautiful parks and other natural areas, and lots of coffee houses!

For history, Pioneer Square is a must.  Here historic buildings house art galleries, shops, restaurants, hotels and other points of interest.  Occidental Square Park also hosts lots of events and activities.

You will also find the start of the famous Underground Tour here.  In 1889 a massive fire destroyed much of Seattle and the powers that be at the time decided to rebuild on top of the old city. 

Museums abound in Seattle including the Seattle Art Museum, the Museum of Pop Culture, the Museum of Flight, Living Computers: Museum and Labs, Chihuly Gardens and Glass, the Museum of History and Industry, and the Center for Wooden Boats among many others.

Of course, no visit to Seattle would be complete without a stop at Pike Place Market – Pubic Market Center to see the infamous fish-throwing fish mongers.  Make sure to check out the Magic Shop while you are there as well.

If you like sports, depending on your timing, you might enjoy catching a Seahawks football game or Seattle Sounders FC on the soccert pitch.  Don’t forge the Mariners baseball team, either!
